Week 1: Cleveland Browns at. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
-
IggyPride00These may easily be 2 of the worst teams in the NFL this year. It is hard to even watch right now.
-
IggyPride00Pathetic game management right there. Wasting a ton of time, not using a timeout. False start penalty. Just awful.
-
newarkcatholicfanBrowns were looking good but in the end the more talented team came out on top.
-
IggyPride00This is disgusting that they lost this game today. Just ridiculous.
It's time for a switch at QB, because the interceptions are now a mental thing, and it is going to keep happening. -
iclfan2Terrible play calling, terrible execution, terrible players...awesome. 2 or 3 wins max probably.
-
TheQWhat can I say? I'm going to find something better to do with my Sunday afternoon. Maybe I'll keep up with my leaf raking this fall. Or take up skiing when the snow hits. Same old same old.
-
From the HillsBrowns played terrible football starting with Jake's interception right before half. Turnovers, bad return game (Cribbs just down the damn ball if your 6 yards deep in the endzone), Defense was OK. But competition is going to get a lot better. Look for Wallace to be starting by game 3. Jake too many stupid mistakes for a veteran to make. Hillis can't hold on to the ball. Cribbs was not even close to being a factor. Maybe, the most positive thing was the play of Ward at safety. And now to make me feel worse Shittsburgh just won.

IggyPride00Jake's a good guy, and a leader, but you can't put a QB out there every week that is unable to manage the game without throwing constant interceptions. He had 18 in 11 games last year, and already has 2 in the first game.
He is like the golfer that gets the yips on 3 footers, or the pitcher that loses their control. Once it becomes mental it is game over, and that's where we are right now.
We won't win with Jake at QB, so it is worth it to see what Seneca can bring to the table. At the very least his mobility should make defenses have to prepare a little more for the Browns which never hurts.
Very very disappointing considering that the game was in hand at one point. Playing KC next week, a very winable game, could have led to a 2-0 start which would have been a major spring board towards a positive season and maybe a .500 record.
Now we are only 1 game in and the negativity is in full downward spiral mode as the fans are disgusted if the people calling into Browns react are any indication of how fans feel. It has now been 6 years that they have lost opening day, and it just is not the way to start if the ship is ever going to be righted. -
Art ModellWith the 1st overall pick in the 2011 NFL draft, the Cleveland Browns select:
hahahaaaaa Way to go Holmgren. Collect that money. -
BRFOh my. My previous posting brothers expressed a lot of how I feel. That's why I use the radio because I can be outside and do other things while listening to the pain. We SO needed this win to buoy our hopes. Now, it looks like another Tribe season coming up. And then we have Carp Modell to slam us into the ground.

riders1The Clowns are back in town
-
like_thatThey def needed the win for confidence. They came out dominating unitl the last 50 seconds of the 2nd half. I am glad Erica Womangini has coached this team to finish games.

Ah, I see you are venturing into new territory! Come and see me sometime.
Heard a little bit ago on the Mike Snyder show, a caller said "we have such high hopes and then we play the first game". -
KR1245I agree with the majority on this one. I dont see Jake making it past week 3, at least Wallace can keep plays alive with his legs. That first interception was terrible.....throwing it sidearm while being pulled to the ground? Hes been in the league too long to be making stupid mistakes like that. I thought the defense was ok.

MulvaWe obviously aren't very good. Bad teams need to take advantage of the games they actually have a chance to win, and instead we did everything we could to blow it.
If we don't win next week things are going to get real ugly real quick. -
IggyPride00DA is probably thrilled he is out of Cleveland right now. He got a win today, threw for 297, a TD and no interceptions.
John Lynch is on Fox right now talking about how incredible he has been all day.
It must really be something about Cleveland that people don't really find success until they get out of here. -

DA was a Pro Bowler with the Browns and he is probally really glad he is out of Cleveland and their fickle fans who actually thought Brady Quinn was the answer in Cleveland. -

This post is right on the money. -
like_thatLMAO at thinking DA has found redemption. He will not keep up those stats.

HitsRusI don't think too many had high expectations this season, but I think there was a feeling that the team was going to be better and on the right track. I think that illusion is gone, or at least open to question.
Way, way too many stupid mistakes for a veteran QB to make. All Delhomme had to do was take care of the ball...... -

DA played like an absolute pig today...same old same old. He fumbled...scooped up by a Rams d lineman, who pulled a Leon Lett on the 2 yard line. Without that, Arizona loses to the woeful Rams. Also, the Rams dropped 3 interceptions thrown right to them.
Arizona will have a losing season this year. -

I think he started feeling cocky after that 40 yard td pass. -
Big GainWe now know why Delhomme was cut by Carolina. He had us all fooled during the games that don't count. Holmgren has been bamboozled.
That pass with a minute to go in the half was BY FAR the most ignorant play by a QB in the history of football. Instead of the score being 17-3 at halftime and WINNING THE GAME, it became 14-10. Instead of being up by TWO Touchdowns at halftime, the Browns got Delhommed and was instead up by a single Field Goal. Game, Set, Delhommed.
One game and we also found out why Denver didn't want Peyton Hillis. He fumbles twice a game.
Cribs get's his big raise and now he thinks he's superman and is worried about his legacy which causes him to be a detriment instead of valuable. -

Is that another one of your famous "predictions" that panned so well throughout the NBA season??????? LMAO!!!!!!! -

hahaha. Did you watch DA? The dude was dead last in every QB category. Wait till the Arizona fans boo his ass back to the bench. Theres a reason that this guy hasnt found his place in the league yet.
