wildcats20I like the lineup today with Heisey in there.
-
gerb131Homer has been rolling hopefully he can keep it up.
-
osu45804Votto!!!!
2 Run Bomb -
osu45804Gomes!!! #100
3-0 Reds -
mhs95_06This unseasonably hot weather in SF is helping a lot of balls go over the fence this series.
-
osu45804Hanigan Plays long ball as well!!!
4-0 Reds -
osu45804Bailey with a 7 pitch 1st Inning..... MUCH needed after the past two nights
-
Mooney44CardsBailey was hitting the strike zone well that 1st inning, with several different pitches. Good sign.
-
osu4580433 Pitch 2 Inning for Bailey and the Giants score a run... 4-1
-
Mooney44CardsBailey is getting squeezed by Hirschbeck on a lot of calls. Not making bad pitches by any means, just not getting the calls.
-
osu45804Back to back 2 out base hits.... Rolen gets a double and Gomes follows with a single... 5-1
-
mhs95_06Gomes with a big RBI to get back the 4 run lead.
-
osu45804Drew Stubbs takes a ball to the wall and Burrell misplays it and 2 runs score
7-1 Reds
... Wild Pitch after trying to Intentionally Walk Janish and the pitcher drops the ball and the runner scores 8-1 -
Mooney44CardsWow. The Giants are looking as bad as the Reds have the past 2 nights.
-
mhs95_06Bumgarner's final act was either a WP on an attempt at an intentional base on balls, or and error for not holding on to the ball after tagging Stubbs trying to score on the last pitch.
-
mhs95_06Should they call Janish out for running on the wrong side of the baseline?

No I think there's a rule (written or not) of like 3 feet on either side of the line. -
mhs95_06The official scorer is looking for ways to hand out as many errors as he can in this game! Rather than what they normally do and look for ways to not give errors!
-
davenow this in encouraging

I think that is why they have that special running lane starting 45' from 1st base, for the safety of the first baseman and to prevent the runner from legally interfering with those type plays at 1B. You have to stay within the lines. On the line is okay and the foul line is actually in fair territory and you can step on that line just like if you are on the line you are in the batter's box. So the only part of the base the batter can legally touch if there is a play at first base is the width of the foul line. Janish was running way over in the grass. That collision is against the rules and it could have ended the season of the SF MVP candidate! -
osu45804VOTTO!!!!! Another solo HR!!!! 9-1
-
mhs95_06Votto loves warm weather and the wind blowing out in SF!
-
Mooney44CardsVotto! Trying to boost those MVP numbers! 2nd HR of the game!
-
Mooney44CardsRight now (with a few innings left to play, and STL still to play tonight) the MVP candidates:
Votto .325 AVG 31 HRs 89 RBI
Pujols .322 AVG 33 HRs 92 RBI
Wow.
