SportsAndLadyAren't a lot of things that happen in baseball a centimeter away from hurting someone? Cry me a river Carpenter

jordo212000Carpenter, come on dude, it's over. Move on. Him continuing to whine about the ruling and Cueto's actions are only proving Phillips point

You're joking right?! The idiot raised his spikes and kicked at people...that's not an everyday occurrance in baseball and shouldn't be lumped in with "aren't alot of things in baseball a cm away from hurting someone". You are either ignorant, blinded by Red's loyalty, or a moron. -

"I don't know what's fair and what's not," said Carpenter, who was fined for the altercation. "That's up to [the league]. I stand by my comments that I said before. He was very close -- a millimeter, centimeter away from not only ending my catcher's career but really injuring him and doing some things that would ruin parts of his life.
"All the stuff that happened in that thing, the yelling, the talking, the pushing, the fighting, everything else, there was nobody throwing punches, there was nobody doing any of that stuff. And I don't care how scared you are, I don't care what the deal is, whatever excuse you have, you don't start doing that."
Um....Cueto wasn't kicking at Molina??
Carpenter now has 2 different stories. First it was Cueto was kicking me in the back and now it was he was kicking Molina.
Last time I checked the only player "injured" was Jason LaRue. -
karen lotzYou are reaching if you say he is changing his story. Cueto did kick him in the back and kicked LaRue. LaRue is a catcher for the Cardinals is he not? This would make him his catcher. You can try to spin it any way you want, but Cueto was the only one in the entire fracas that was kicking people with his spikes.

stroupsCall me old fashioned but if I step into the middle of a fight I am going to expect to get either punched, kicked, slapped ect....... I agree with the suspension but Carpenter needs to STFU because he is really starting to sound like a giant pussy. Maybe he should quit baseball and join a softball league so he can have a yelling match with his opponents.

Gotta agree unfortunately. Kicking people with spikes on isn't something that happens in baseball everyday. He kicked LaRue in the head. I saw a better version of the video during the Cubs-Cards game. He made solid contact. No place for it. The suspension was warranted, he's serving it, and it is now time to move on. -

Carpenter is still a whining bitch -
HereticWell, at least the Reds organization made a picture-perfect Homer Bailey disguise for Cueto, allowing him to pitch today. At least, considering how he's been most of the year in the bigs (except the game he destroyed my Pirates...sigh...), that's the best explanation I can come up with for Bailey giving 6 shutout innings.
