THE4RINGZThe Ravens are ranked number 3 in NFL power rankings, and are thought by many to be the team representing the AFC in Super Bowl 45

I just like the Ravens depth more than the Bengals. Cincy is a Cedric Benson or Carson Palmer injury away from being very average, imo. I expect the Steelers to struggle w/o Ben, but I wouldn't count out a team like Pittsburgh, they always seem to follow a bad season with a very good season. And well, my Brownies should be more competitive this year, but I don't expect them to win more than 6 games. -
swamisezIf Joe Flacco goes down is Baltimore still going to win the division with Troy Smith, John Beck, or Marc Bulger? Personally JT O is on par with both of those guys.
Also, Bernard Scott/Brian Leonard would be a pretty good back up to CBenson should bad things happen. That is more than I can say for Baltimore who has a decrepit Willis McGahee as their #2
Where the Ravens have good depth is at WR, just like the Bengals.

McGahee averaged 5yds/carry last year and had 12 touchdowns. He was on pace to have well over 1,000 yds if he got the carries of a #1 back. Trust me, I despise the Ravens, but in no way do I think that Scott/Leonard is on the same level as McGahee/McClain. I agree with your point about the QB situations though.swamisez;435308 wrote:If Joe Flacco goes down is Baltimore still going to win the division with Troy Smith, John Beck, or Marc Bulger? CinciX12I think it will all be based off how the Reds do for Cincinnati sports. God will not allow this city to have 2 professional sports teams make the playoffs. If the Reds are in, even as a wildcard, the Bengals will crash and burn.

Ironman92Did the Bengals make the playoffs in 1990? What year did they end Bo Jackson's career.....was that 91?

swamisezSchefter reporting Ravens starting CB Dominique Foxworth is out for season with torn ACL
No Ed Reed weeks 1-6
No Dominique Foxworth
That secondary was already suspect, now it is probably the worst in the division. -
swamisezAny Ravens fans want to guess at which corners will start the season?
Ledarius Webb
Walt Harris
Fabian Washington
Cary Williams
Chris Carr
KJ Gerard
Prince Miller
At safety Dawan Landry is a lock. Will Ken Hamlin be out there too? -

Wow. Tough break. -
voewoodyJust seen that, said he tore it in walk thru Wednesday. He said he just stopped and turned and it tore. Tough news for Ravens , good for the Bengals though!

jordo2120002 horse race between Baltimore and Cincy. Big Ben's suspension will kill Pittsburgh and Cleveland is going to be terrible

Ironman92I'm not sold on Baltimore's defense early on wiht all those key injuries.
As for Pittsburgh.....Im not sure having Polamalu healthy isn't as important to winning games as having Roethlisberger. -

IFFFF, Dixon or whoever ends up starting those 5 games can play solid, this will be a true statement. But if the QB cant be competent, no player can make up for it, imo. -
KR1245I hate to say it but I think its gonna be the Ravens.
Browns will be better than they were last year but still not close
Still think Pittsburgh will be a decent team
Bengals are ok but I dont see them making too much noise -
Ironman92Dixon can play solid but the OC has to let him play and run some......had a great game last year but wasn't allowed to finish it off.....chicken shit calls
How did the Steelers do without Polamalu flying around causing havoc last year......couldn't stop much of anything and RARELY created a TO. I forget that stat but with Polamalu for about 5 games they had like 12 turnovers.....without him for some 8 games they had just 5 or so TO's
Polamalu causes turnovers......gotta have him...of course I want Ben at QB......but when Ben doesn't play it seems like we still have a productive offense.....when Troy isn't playing it doesn't feel like we'll ever stop a team from driving down the field unless we get a timely sack.......thank you Mr. Woodley -

IMO, Aaron Smith being out hurt them just as much, if not more than Polamalu being out. -
Ironman92Was Smith out early on when Polamalu was playing early on?
