GO BENGALS!!! Would LOVE to go into Pittsburgh and come out with a victory!
  • dave
Both teams looked really good this past week. I'm hoping Pitt comes out a little flat since they prob didn't get back into town until this morning.

We need 25+ carries from Ced, If we can get that then that means we are running the offense that we want to run. Hopefully JJ & Leon can do another good job on Santonio again. Usually I'd be shocked if we can go into Pittsburgh and win but this year I wouldn't be as surprised. A 7-2 record and 5-0 in the division would look VERY nice!

Both teams are playing great right now, so I'd be expecting a good game. Hopefully my Steelers can take care of business for four quarters on Sunday. They should have won the first game with the Bengals, but didn't show up for the fourth quarter. Bengals are too good this year to be beaten with a half-assed effort.

The Bengals are the real deal IMO. This rivalry is interesting and competitive again. The Steelers appear to be hitting their stride though. This one comes down to turnovers IMO.

    GO STEELERS!!!!

The bengals showed they are the real deal this season now I just comes down to being consistent and not taking any off weeks.

Should be a good matchup. I can't wait

Gonna be a good one. Headin to da burgh for this one...third steelers game of the season but first in pittsburgh. Ah how I miss the place.

Should be interesting...will depend on if the bengals can run it on the steelers. It all starts there. If they can....itll be a quiet heinz field crowd.

Here's to multiple playings of RENEGADE at Heinz field..

Bengals are definitely for real, and it's nice to see this rivalry kicking back up. I look for a whole lot of Mr. Benson and Mr. Mendenhall carrying the respective load for each side.

Gotta go with my Steelers in a close one. Late TD catch by Holmes. Maybe a FG by Reed, if he's not hung over from being at McFadden's too late Saturday night.

Key to the game, as mentioned by others will be Benson. If he gets his 100+ on 25-35 carries, Cincy looks good. If Pittsburgh does to him what they tend to do to most rushing games, they have the advantage.

Just don't think the Bengals can do it twice this year
  • rock_knutne
Benson will NOT be able to run on the Steeler defense and "Ochostinko" will be shut down once again by Ike Taylor. I don't expect the Steelers to gift wrap another win to the Bungles like they did in Cincy.........Steelers huge in this one!

Should be a good one. I'll say:

    Steelers 27

    Bengals 21

I see the Steelers taking this one. The last game was without Polamalu and we were having identity problems with the offense. We now have our go to back for the time being in Mendenhall, and Roethlisberger is being allowed to sling it more and go no huddle more.

It'll still be a good game but I just don't see Cincy being able to rush as much as last time with the variety of blitz' and showing of blitz that we can make with Polamalu back that we couldn't while he was hurt. Though who knows? Both are playing great. Will be fun to watch.

As I posted on "that other Huddle", the incredible thing is just how similar these two teams have become...

Steelers...run oriented and defensively stout have opened up the passing attack as Ben has cut down on the INT's and sacks.
Bengals...usually in love with the pass, have lived (and usually died) on the fortunes of Palmer and Ocho, etc., have become a ball-control team with a bonafide running game and stronger O-line.

A great game...2 Playoff quality teams...the Bengals need to minimize Polamalu's impact (if possible), and use Benson's game to set up the pass...If the Bengals D puts on their "A" game...

    Bengals by two touchdowns.

I love how a qualifier is needed when we're talking about minimizing Polamalu's impact. He's incredible.

I say if we play four quarters, we can win this one. Complete sweep of Shittsburgh. :D
  • CincyRedRider
I would like a win on Sunday but it's going to be tougher this time around. I do agree that if Cincy can put 4 quarters together, they can likely win.

Pittsburgh is the 7 point favorite.

So I will take Cincinnati to cover, but lose 24-20.
Pittsburgh ran the ball well for the first time all year against Cincinnati the last time out. Great opening drive for the Parker TD. They will try to smash mouth to start this game as well I think. Without Keith Rivers in the middle, I worry about Landon Johnson shedding blockers. Lots of tackles for Crocker/R.Williams and the secondary.

Weather the early storm, and hopefully the Bengals are in striking distance for another go ahead score late.

Really hoping for a Bengal victory. Whoever doesn't turn the ball over inside the opponents 20 wins.
