stephen3108I think the Bengals are the real deal this year. Can't argue 2 sweeps! Who Dey!!!

gerb131I hope Benson takes the Oakland game off.

WaltCongrats Bengals fans. All my friends will be giving me shit but I don't dislike the Bengals as much as I do the Browns or Ravens. If my Steelers can't win the AFC North, then I'd rather see the Bengals get it than the old or new Browns.
-
swamisezA second person hoping Benson gets reduced duty against Oakland. If he got 8-10 carries I would be happy with that. Of course, we are going to have to run the football. Oakland has a pretty stout pass defense. They have given the Bengals and specifically Carson Palmer fits in the past. Nmadi Asamough (spelling) picked off carson twice the last time they played in Cincy.
-
daveThey might need Benson to win in Oakland, their offense is terrible but they have a great D. Scott appeared pretty beat up by the end of the game.
Looks like Gradkowski may get the start for Oakland. Whoever is in at QB is gonna get picked multiple times. Bengals dropped at least 4 picks today, that won't happen 2 weeks in a row. -
GymshoeThis season just has that playoff "feel" to it. Anyone think the Bengals will really sign Larry Johnson?
-
that one guyit wouldnt be a bad pick up right now to take the load off of benson whiles he not 100%

HereticI feel chagrin. Pittsburgh's big bugaboo of giving up returns for TDs bite us big-time, as the kick return for six was the difference in this game. And more importantly, Cincinnati out-Pittsburgh'd Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh. They just couldn't consistently move the ball against you guys and there was a big, invisible barrier protecting the 10-yard line, apparently. Your pass coverage was great and it got to my team mentally.
I have a good friend who's a Bengals fan. I wish I could get a free punch right to his face just to release my pent-up frustration. I was livid after the first loss to the Bengals because I felt the Steelers controlled the game, but lost their intensity and blew it in the fourth quarter. Today, I just felt you guys beat us at our own game and were the better team. -
killer_ewokHeretic-Great post. It's like the Pittsburgh-Baltimore games from last season....except the Steelers are on the wrong end of it this time.
I definitely feel that Cincy out-Pittsburgh'd the Steelers today. -
HereticThe thing that gets me the most is that coming into this recent stretch of games, I think most of us would have said we'd be happy if we got 2/3 of Minnesota, Denver and Cincinnati. And then we beat the first two.
Then we lose to Cincinnati at home on a day where Denver also lost their third straight game, this time to woeful Washington. Instead of being all alone in first place and having negated Cinci's tiebreaker advantage from beating us, we're in second place with no ability to get that tiebreaker and hoping we take care of business in our two games with Baltimore to stay in good shape for a wild card. With one of our two BIG recent wins looking more and more pedestrian as Denver currently is looking like a tutorial on how to go from 6-0 to 6-10. -
osu45804Bengals next 3 games are @ Oakland, home Vs. Cleveland, home Vs. Detroit before they have back to back road games @ Minnesota & San Diego..... We could very well be 10-2 (6-0 Division record) going into Minnesota & that would look GREAT!

I don't think you will have to worry about the Browns winning anything for a long long time.Walt wrote: Congrats Bengals fans. coke72Great win for the Bengals and their fans today. Even with it, I think we have a long way to go before making any noise about anything except the next game. I posted some pre-game thoughts on that other forum and for once it didn't turn out to just be a wish list as most proved true.
One thing is certain, the Steelers will continue to play good football and will win games. They will be in the playoffs. Everything changes in the playoffs and the only thing that the Regular season means is seeding at that point. The Bengals cannot take their foot off the gas. They need to win the next three and will be seriously tested against Minnesota and San Diego.
Go Bengals!!! -
pbuckWHO DEY wow what a great effort by the Bengals D today 7-2 keep it rolling

77LegendWhen Ben has a bad day, there is no hope. The difference I see with him and Peyton/Tom is these two guys will maybe have a bad half or 3 quarters, but they usually can rally together to make their offense still competitive. Ben is either up or down. No gray. Good job Bengals. It's still an Ohio team so I am not so upset because I am an Ohioan. We'll see what the Steelers do for the next few weeks.

osu45804With the New England loss...... Cincy now has the #2 spot in the AFC & Number 4 spot in the NFL! WHO DEY
