Its gonna be very tough for Columbus to sign a top name talent come no one wants to come overseas to live here. We will have to be content with guys like Schletto who are really good but not big names. The big names are gonna wanna live in LA, New York, Chicago, and Boston first. Then maybe Philly, Dallas, Seattle, DC, and Denver. That said Kansas City is hosting Man U tommorow and is rumored to be wining and dining Giggs in hopes of getting him to sign there. The talent is the league is getting much better but needs to continue to sign names like henry and beckham to help attendence as well as more teams being like LA who went out and signed some really good young Brazilians on loan. The league will always be 2nd rate but if they can get enough older and younger guys it can really improve as well as develop even more great US players

#1. Schelotto IS a big name all over the world, especially South America. Sure he's not Tier 1 like Henry, but he is def. a big name.

#2. The league WILL NOT always be 2nd rate. We are top 10 in the world in 15 years, imagine 30 more.

I agree with Ohiobucks. As long as the MLS continues to grow, this league will not always be 2nd rate. There is money to be made in America, obviously the MLS will never be bigger than the EPL or La Liga, but it could get into the top 5 or 6 league in the world at this current pace, especially as more prestige and history is built.
