McCann has to be MVP, right?

If it happens, OC will have a contest and provide one ticket. :)

    HB...Rays right??

Do you really classify Big Papi as a runner? He waddles more than he runs.

    Weeble.

    McCann is the MVP

Not the most action-packed game but a fine display of pitching.
  • grodt
Definitely some sick pitching done by both sides. Great job by the NL staff holding that AL line-up to just 1 run.

Ughhhhhhhhhhhh a member of the Braves is the MVP of the All-Star Game
  • wildcats20
BTW that MVP trophy might be the best in all of sports...

That might be pushing it. :D

My favorite moment of the game? Josh Johnson making Derek Jeter look retarded on a called 3rd strike. He should be arrested for breaking his knees like that.

I'll bet anything A-Rod requested not to play

Figures a White Sox pitcher would ruin everything for the AL and do nothing but throw it right down the middle. Valverde was awesome in the 9th for the AL but no run support throughout the game. Oh well.

I think it was a close vote between McCann and Votto.

That was all, no need for any shit talk. I'm just glad Wagner not being there didn't bite the NL in the ass. I wasn't too happy with people from non contenders like Matt Capps getting the ball in key spots.

Are you kidding me? Its the All-Star Game, not the All-Contenders game. Capps has been pretty solid all year on a team thats not great.

God! Can you believe Ryan Braun and Corey Hart started! The Brewers are like 9 games out! The nerve!

Would you have also been pissed if Cliff Lee got the ball and he was still on the Mariners? Thank GOD he's on a contender now!

    Its an EXHIBITION GAME.

    This time it matters.

Also, are you kidding me? The Reds very possibly could be in the World Series this year. You don't care if they have home field advantage or not? McCann said after the game that the game did mean more this year because the Braves are contending for the NL Pennant. Exhibition or not, there is some meaning to the game and I would rather have someone playing who has something to play for.

AL lost because Fabulous Fausto wasn't granted permission to pitch.

As if the guys on the contenders somehow try harder than a guy like Matt Capps who never gets the spotlight? I'd argue the opposite is true. Those guys on shitty teams want it more because this is their chance to shine.
