Was probably referring to delonte sticking the meat to his mom. -
AutomatikPeople that are bashing him about how he handled it are tards also.
He donated all the proceeds to charity from the event and IMO handled himself well. -
ironman02LeBron did what he thought was best for him. I can't blame him for that. I'm very disappointed that he's leaving, but that's just the nature of the business. A championship in Cleveland would have probably done more for his overall reputation, but who's to say if that ever would have happened. In Miami, they have now formed the foundation for what could be a basketball dynasty and LeBron is likely to win multiple championships.
Also, I think he does care about Cleveland and its fanbase. You could tell, in my opinion, that he felt bad about leaving. I wish that he would have made his announcement in a different fashion, but in the grand scheme of things, I really don't think he meant to add insult to injury for the Cleveland fans. When talking about the decision process and his "inner circle", I think he simply meant that he valued their opinion the most, and even though he loves Cleveland/Akron/Ohio, he has to do what's best for him. I don't think that means he doesn't love where he came from and where he spent the beginning of his career...it just means that he sees a better opportunity and he's taking it. Still hurts to see him go, though. -

# Somewhere in this heartwarming charity gesture from ESPN/LeBron, somebody is probably getting paid nicely. about 4 hours ago via web
# This story says "The Decision" raised 6M in ad sales: http://bit.ly/9onJoC This says Boys & Girls Clubs getting 2.5M http://bit.ly/9XPXJ9 about 4 hours ago via web
It's nice that he donated proceeds to Boys and Girls club, but it was a completely unnecessary spectacle and I highly doubt anywhere near ALL of the proceeds went to it. -
ernest_t_bassIt's 11:22 and they just cut to commercial. They've talked about LeBron longer than his special. He banked time he would get regardless.

I'm not going to argue with you - Cleveland as a city sucks ass. But you have millions of dollars, you can live anywhere you want in the world. You're not there for half the season, and when you are there - you can even go wherever you want after the games. Arriving at The Q for a game, would be like arriving at a place for a buisness meeting. I believe all those rumors about the three "Am-Egos" meeting and talking about playing together were true, and those rumors started way back when all of this FA crap started. LeBron never said that he was recruiting Bosh, and if Bosh knew James didn't intend to stay in Cleveland, of course he would've said he didn't want to play in Cleveland. Like I said, he has the freedom to play wherever in the Hell he wants too, but this could've been done a helluva lot sooner and the process was quite unesecarry. He showed a complete lack of respect by not even calling and saying that he wasn't returning. I mean, he made sure that Miami knew that he was coming...7 years, and he slapped them in the face. -
ernest_t_bassIs Garnett a traitor? Ray Allen?

KR1245Fuck yeah Mr Gilbert......This is awesome
A Letter From Cavaliers Majority Owner Dan Gilbert
Dear Cleveland, All Of Northeast Ohio and Cleveland Cavaliers Supporters Wherever You May Be Tonight;
As you now know, our former hero, who grew up in the very region that he deserted this evening, is no longer a Cleveland Cavalier.
This was announced with a several day, narcissistic, self-promotional build-up culminating with a national TV special of his "decision" unlike anything ever "witnessed" in the history of sports and probably the history of entertainment.
Clearly, this is bitterly disappointing to all of us.
The good news is that the ownership team and the rest of the hard-working, loyal, and driven staff over here at your hometown Cavaliers have not betrayed you nor NEVER will betray you.
There is so much more to tell you about the events of the recent past and our more than exciting future. Over the next several days and weeks, we will be communicating much of that to you.
You simply don't deserve this kind of cowardly betrayal.
You have given so much and deserve so much more.
In the meantime, I want to make one statement to you tonight:
"I PERSONALLY GUARANTEE THAT THE CLEVELAND CAVALIERS WILL WIN AN NBA CHAMPIONSHIP BEFORE THE SELF-TITLED FORMER ‘KING’ WINS ONE"
You can take it to the bank.
If you thought we were motivated before tonight to bring the hardware to Cleveland, I can tell you that this shameful display of selfishness and betrayal by one of our very own has shifted our "motivation" to previously unknown and previously never experienced levels.
Some people think they should go to heaven but NOT have to die to get there.
Sorry, but that's simply not how it works.
This shocking act of disloyalty from our home grown "chosen one" sends the exact opposite lesson of what we would want our children to learn. And "who" we would want them to grow-up to become.
But the good news is that this heartless and callous action can only serve as the antidote to the so-called "curse" on Cleveland, Ohio.
The self-declared former "King" will be taking the "curse" with him down south. And until he does "right" by Cleveland and Ohio, James (and the town where he plays) will unfortunately own this dreaded spell and bad karma.
Just watch.
Sleep well, Cleveland.
Tomorrow is a new and much brighter day....
I PROMISE you that our energy, focus, capital, knowledge and experience will be directed at one thing and one thing only:
DELIVERING YOU the championship you have long deserved and is long overdue....

MulvaI love Dan Gilbert. I've always been a fan of his, but this just pushes it over the top. He is the fucking man.
He's also probably drunk out of his mind and completely hammered right now. And FWIW, Windy has posted quotes from it on his twitter, so it seems legit. -
ironman02Did Gilbert really write that? Where did that come from?
Edit: Looks like Mulva may have answered my question. -
Trueblue23Pretty safe to say LeBron will be booed and will drop 50 on Cleveland.
