    Santana goes yard again.
  • miller45452003
Hey NCF---Santana just went yard for the 4th time in 16 games. Not bad 'eh?
  • mhs95_06
    The screwball didn't fool Santana!
  • miller45452003
I know obviously its early in there careers, but I think someday Choo & Santana could possibly be the best 2-3 hitters in the league.

    Lol wow...

LOL, Santana gave a high leg kick to wait for that screwball, absolutely hilarious.

The Tribe definitely has some pieces to build around.

Santana, Choo, Druby, (hopefully Grady), Carmona, Masterson, Talbot, and hopefully Perez pans out in the backend of the bullpen.

    He's talking best #2 and #3 hitters.

In terms of spot in the line up.

I dunno if I'll go that far, but Choo and Santana are both going to be great hitters (well, they already are)

Honestly, Choo is perhaps the most underrated player in baseball. Dude is a 5 tool STUD.

Laporta showing why he is a AAA allstar at best. Nice trade return we got for a cy young winner. I can see now why Shapiro got his raise.

Well that's less bit ridiculous, but still ridiculous in my opinion. I've had this convo about Choo before...he's having a hell of a season, but this is what? his 2nd full season? Lets give it a few seasons before we start calling the Indians' 2 adn 3 hole hitters the best in the majors.
  • miller45452003
Perez should be closing this game out in the 9th...not the hold man for the 8th. When the fuck does Acta lose faith in Wood?? The guy is a fucking 10million $$$ bum.

Did you catch the word "someday" in my post? All I'm saying is there is a lot of potential laying there.

I'm seeing a double standard here.

Choo has played for 2 1/2 seasons and has done nothing but hit since being up, I don't think that's going to change.

Yeah there is with every team. Every team has 2 players on their team who could someday be the best 2 and 3 hitters. I wouldn't bet that it'll be coming from the Indians.
  • hoops23
Chris Perez just gave up a 2 run homer.

    5-3 now.

I fully expect Kerry Wood to BLOW ANOTHER great day for Choo. (if Perez can get this final out, that is)

    Well that's ignorant.

First off, every team doesn't have that type of talented individuals, especially in the 2 and 3 hole.

Secondly, you're saying you wouldn't bet it being the Indians as if they've never had great players? I'm sure we both know that's not true. Great players have come through this organization for quite some time. Problem is, we don't ever keep them :)

Chris(WILD THING)Perez struggles but is able to get out of the inning with the Tribe leading by two.

Great lead-off pinch hit by Heisey, and then a great swing by Votto to put it out to RF. Perez made a great back door curveball pitch to Phillips to get the first out of the inning, on which Gomes should have taken better note to be ready to rip a similar pitch into the seats in LF, but he missed it and ended up making the 3rd out with himself being the tying run. Now two runs in the 9th is much more do-able, especially if Wood gets the save opportunity., assuming Ondrusek can put a zero up.
