FUCK YOU DUSTY BAKER.
Seriously anything he is contributing by his "leadership" is being negated by his terrible play right now. If he is hurt he either needs to sit for a few games or go on the DL, he is not getting any better by going out there and fucking this team every time a ball comes his way or he comes to the plate.
My goodness you are an emotional fan. Relax. A few weeks ago people were declaring him team MVP. I seriously don't think you understand the way a baseball season works. A guy can't go 2-3 every single night. It isn't freaking possible. Hit-less nights happen, as do slumps, and bad plays. He'll be fine. -
wildcats20Oh Lord...
-
jordo212000By the way Mooney... who would you prefer log the majority of the ABs at SS? Janish? The career .208 hitter
-
Mooney44CardsOh wait, remind me what a 35 year old injured shortstop is contributing to the team right now? If I wanted a SS that can't hit, i'd put Janish out there, at least he's an above average shortstop.
And I NEVER would have said Cabrera was an mvp. He hasn't even hit above .270 all year. -
mhs95_06Cordero has to throw more inside strikes. They sit on the pitch on the outside!
-
SportsAndLadyjesus..i was wachin on gamecast, I saw "in play" and then the fielders disappeared..I thought for sure he hit a 3 run bomb to end it.

The thing is, Cabrera can hit. He's not a .300 hitter sure, but how many SSs are? He's a solid hitter and has been for years. Saying you'd put Janish in there is laughable too by the way. The marginal amount of runs he might save you does not make up for the 50+ batting average points (Cabrera is a career .274 hitter) -
wildcats20So I know coco got it done. But Dusty says befor the game he doesn't want to use him. Why not run Arty out there? He's the only one right now that I would have confidence in right now.

What are you TALKING about? I'm saying we sit Cabrera til his ankle gets better and you're acting like I want us to send him to Louisville. He's not doing the team any good with a bad ankle. Janish is healthy. He needs more ABs. He barely even gets any playing time as it is, you'd think you'd take this opportunity to get him in there and get him some reps so when you need him he's sharp (Miguel Cairo ring a bell?). I said Cabrera is worthless RIGHT NOW.
Reading comprehension, it can do wonders!
P.S. Janish should be marching out there as a defensive substitute late in games most nights. He rarely if ever actually does. Dusty is a moron when it comes to veteran players. -
jordo212000There is a reason Janish doesn't get a lot of ABs. I think Cabrera is slumping, I don't see him all the hobbled by the injury. Dings and nagging injuries happen. It's part of the game. Give me an 80% Cabrera every single time over a 100% Janish.
Not saying Cabrera should never get a day off, just that if he is healthy enough to play; he needs to be out there. (Nothing wrong with the defensive replacement thing though late in the game) -
swamisezHard to complain about these last two games. reds have been historically putrid on the west coast and they are a game away from returning 3-3 on this road trip.
Keeping pace with the Cardinals. Indians pitching should provide the bats time to come around, I think the cards have the Royals? They will likely get Greinke at Kauffman, but there will be more red in the stands than blue this weekend. -

It's quite painful the slump he is in....I'd give him 3 days off
