Correct? I think that would give Slovenia 9 points, the U.S. 4 points, Algeria 3 points and England 1 point ... unlikely, but possible, no?
England COULD beat Algeria today, and lose to Slovenia, giving them 4 points...we beat Algeria, that gives us 4 points...then we would need a goal differential advantage. -

That's the problem with the tactics employed by Bob Bradley. He doesn't have a holding and/or defensive midfielder in place so the right and left backs can't get up the field and stretch the Slovenian defense, make them play wider to open up the middle of the box. His midfield is too offensive minded, let the pressure come form the back and play it wide.......there's still time if they can do that. -

One needs goals to win the goal differential tiebreaker. -

Yeah, we'd have to score 5-6 goals (maybe more) against Algeria. I don't have to tell anyone how impossible that would be. -
Glory Daysthats why you fucking shoot the ball.

-
SnotBubblesSo it's 2-1 now...is it still "over?"
-
tk421If we somehow pull out at least a draw here, that would be huge for the U.S. We would still have to beat Algeria, which might be problematic, and hope for an England draw in one of their games.

ptown_trojans_1A glimmer of hope....
