    i didn't see a replay of the Philips ball, so i cant really comment further.

    although, the fact that Stubbs is in the 8 hole is great because he is hard to double up and he can drive in a run with a ball on the ground.

    Here we go! First two reach against Rhodes. I didn't think the Reds' pen could get nine outs before the Cards got a run.

    If Phillips would have hit that DP ball back to Rhodes it would have been a DP, but the Cards runner was hustling and when Rhodes had trouble getting a handle on it, they didn't get the DP and let the Cards continue the inning.

    And Rhodes sticks with it and gets out of the inning. Reds better tack on some runs. I still don't think they can close the game without giving up any runs.
