Reds @ Cards....Game 2

Wish we had a sinkerballer in the pen to pitch after Cueto because I dont think either starter will go 5.

The trick is how many you can hit as just getting over the wall with a bunch is better than a few going way out! It looks like its is a combination of temp, high humidity, and low pressure making the air density very low allowing the ball to get great carry in the air! I don't know how the diamond is laid out, but I'll bet it is such that the wind from the SSE at 9 mph is helping the carry also!

Hustling Jonny Gomes beats the throw as Lopez has trouble in his glove and gets a late weak throw to try to get the force. Then Stubbs beat the force out throw from the 3B/SS hole to set up a possible big inning with the bases loaded and no out, but Cueto hits into a 3-2-3 DP.

    Or 2!! lol

OC is the MVP of this team, HANDS DOWN.

He does with a shot of LCF for 2 two out RBI!

Gomes busts his ass at everything. Most intense guy ever. After his SO in the first he about winged his bat into the dugout.

    Keep it going BP

    edit...

    LOL

Him not running hard on ground balls makes me throw things.

I think Del Rosario has a ground out to fly out ratio that is highly in favor of ground outs.

important inning for Cueto. Middle/bottom of the Cards order coming up. Will be critical to keep the ball down, or if at all possible limit walks and not Larue drive in Rasmus etc.

I think Cueto was safe at 1st....coulda been a 3-run double, Cueto has some wheels. I love that the Reds are taking punches and counter-punching with authority.
  • swamisez
    and boom goes the dynamite

solo shot, ok. But giving up a single to Larue, inexcusable. Get me over fast ball on first pitch, the only ball larue could hit. Cmon Johnny

I was actually thinking the same thing. That was mighty close.

Rolen with a total bloop job for a double.
  • mhs95_06
Rolen with 10 total bases in 3 ABs!
  • mhs95_06
Lopez having a bad game at SS!
  • SportsAndLady
Need a hit here from Ramon!
  • swamisez
Reds are still getting good at bats here in the 6th, nothing to show over the past two innings though. Gonna come down to middle relief (yikes). Del Rosario?
  • SportsAndLady
Just saw that Chapman pitched a good game tonight..7 IP 4 hits 2 runs...best part was he only threw 88 pitches
  • CinciX12
Gonna go out on a limb here and say that Brandon hits a ground ball and jogs to first.
  • swamisez
well, need a ground ball dp here, but I don't know he has the movement to do it tonight.

    Who is getting loose?
  • wildcats20
    Uhhhhhhh
