  No surprise...worst sports idea ever, except for the massive NCAA conference realignment.
  
  I don't get it. Bad weather football sucks. Football isn't a winter sport. 90% of the games (100% of HS games) are played in the summer and the fall. Some of the worst games (Steelers-Jets in 2004 I'm looking at you) are played in bad weather. Hopefully it won't affect the game to the point that the players can't make a difference,

  I think the SB should be played in a place where good weather is likel or in a dome. Seriously...I wanna know who the best team is...and put them on equal footing on a football field and not handcuffed by the other factors. Im all for the road to the SB to be as tough as can be...but once you get to the super bowl....let the two teams play ona field and in conditions to where when the game is over ya have to say...well...the better team won and not because the weather dictated it.

  Indeed football is played in the elements, but not in FEBRUARY. No HS team plays in February. No college team plays in February. There is a reason why the regular season goes from September to December, and not November to February. It isn't a winter sport. Snow games are rare, and usually they suck (per my earlier post).

  Who the fuck has the direct line to Mother Nature and is so sure it's going to snow on that day? I mean shit, sometimes it snows in November. IT'S FOOTBALL, both teams play in the same elements. And I guarantee you if you asked, most players would rather play in a cold, snowy environment than a 55 degree rainy one. What if it rains and it's in the South? What if there is an earthquake? What if a meteor strikes?

  good point ... when the Giants won the Super Bowl in 2008 (even though I was in Brazil at the time) the weather was in the 70s I believe in NYC

  The Super Bowl will be a disaster if the weather is this bad. That game was unwatchable. For fans at the game and at the bar after we left the game.
  
  It is one thing if it happens in the playoffs when a cold weather team earns the right to play on their home field. It is another if we have, for example, a Saints-Chargers match-up and they look like a bunch of keystone kops on the field.

  The showed a graphic on ESPN the other day of the last 5 or 6 years on February 2nd in NYC--hardly any snow and relatively warm.
