Lebron lost this game on purpose
-
sleeperThoughts?
There's no way you can convince me that Lebron just "had a bad game", he's one of the greatest players in NBA history, maybe the greatest ever, you don't just have a bad game.
He took 14 shots, all terrible shot selections, passed the ball to another teammate in times of need, and play half ass defense. He simply didn't care about the result of the game.
Now why would he do this? The only theories I can come up with is he wants to play a game 7 in Cleveland for all the glory, and he wanted to see if his teammates could step up in a crunch situation.
Here's hoping to a game 6 and 7 victory, go Cavs, may the force(and Lebron James) be with you. -
wes_mantoothagreed...and you can take that to the bank.
-
wildcats20I'm not sure if he tanked it or it was just a case of I don't care. Which I guess is really the same thing.
But he put himself and "his" team into a bad situation by doing whatever it was he was doing. -
Hb31187lost on purpose? lol you guys are really reaching
-
wes_mantooth^^^lol..ya think?
-
friendfromlowryGlory of what? It's the second fucking round. A miraculous game seven victory only gets them a date with the red-hot Orlando Magic.
-
just_a_swimmerDoes it get any worse then this?
My whole week has tanked all because of a stupid basketball team and it's star.
I want to believe it isn't over but we all know the team has sucked since they sat everybody with a couple weeks left. Been bad since then. They just haven't been the same team. I don't see anything changing Thursday. Not sure I can even watch. -

newarkcatholicfanWatching all of this unfold on here is almost as good as watching the game last night.

This thread is funny too. -

Sadly, last nights game did affect my mood for a few hours. Today, we just made fun of them....so it is all good. This is the first time since "the fumble", that my mood was affected by a professional sports game.SQ_Crazies wrote:

SQ_CraziesI mean, it affects my mood because I would have been much happier if they won, but it doesn't "tank" a whole week.

Mr. 300Leboob just showed us how poor a true leader he is. Nothing really to think about this other than that.
Oh yeah, and he could care less about Cleveland....he'll be gone in 6 weeks to LA or NY. -

Puddle JumperWow sleeper you are full of excuses!!
1)OSU losing to USC in football
2)OSU basketball losing to Tennessee
3)Legone looking like he already left Cleveland last night. -
Cleveland BuckLeBron didn't lose. The Cavs lost. They quit like bitches. I can't remember the last time I saw such a pitiful display. I don't think they came out trying to lose. I just don't think they cared either way.

Heretic
Well, it does feel better to believe this than "he's tanking games in order to bow out early to "justify" an eventual decision that he's already made to move on to a different team".Hb31187 wrote: lost on purpose? lol you guys are really reaching -
hoops23God, I was as pissed as anybody but this is just stupid..
I'm not even talking about Sleeper, because I know he's just messin around, but seriously, some of the stuff is pathetic..
I know I posted some dumbshit last night, but that was 1/2 beer and 1/2 frustration speaking.. Now I'm sober on both fronts and this shit is stupid.
LeBron is not the type of guy to "quit".
He's also not the type of guy to stop competing because his "heart is already out of Cleveland".
We'll see what happens tomorrow night. -
I Wear PantsThen explain the lack of effort.
-
Laley23I just wanna know when LeBron became McDonalds and got "Le" put in front of every word tied to him...?

HeelzAre you kidding me? Lost on purpose? Wow, why cant people just accept the fact he played a shitty game?
-
THE4RINGZMaybe the game was fixed and LeBron was just doing his part to make sure the spread was covered. I mean since we are discussing impossible explanations I just thought I would throw that one out too.
-
SQ_CraziesRemember when Kobe refused to shoot against the Suns? Much more of an epic breakdown than LeBron had in game 5. Now that is ancient history--amazing how many people tried to write LeBron off and say he'd always be remembered for that one game. Yeah right.
-
buckeyefallsI Wear Pants...lack of effort could be from anything. Maybe he and Brown got into an argument (makes sense since Z finally played).
It could be from pain in elbow.
Maybe he wasn't feeling well?
Maybe his girlfriend and he were in a fight?
I mean, who knows. He is still in his 20s and this is the first time he really has tanked in his career. He isn't perfect but I agree with others...NO WAY he tanked it on purpose. That isn't HIS character.
