That part made me LOL for some reasonSage wrote: This team is a bunch of whiny, primadona bitches... Just like LeBron James. The dude wears a headband for fucksake. They don't have heart and they're going out like bitches in a little under 18 hours as soon as the going gets tough. -
SQ_CraziesSage has always been big about that headband.
Apparently wearing a headband automatically puts you Darius Miles level and you're stealing SAT scores. -
jpake1You should be banned for making a Darius Miles movie comment.

SageName the last time the best player on a championship team wore a headband.

Paul Pierce won the Finals MVP when they won the title...Sage wrote: Name the last time the best player on a championship team wore a headband. -

EXACTLY.
PAUL FUCKING PIERCE.
A dude who sucks, and happens to have hit some timely 3 pointers against the Lakers to win a title.

What about Ben Wallace, Rasheed Wallace(pictured above), Rip Hamilton and Rondo? They all have rings. I know you watched the Finals when they won their rings in '04 and '08 for Rondo. -
wildcats20In 04 Rip was NOT the best player in Detroit. And Rondo was definitely not the best player for Boston in 08.
-
SageThey were cogs in a machine. Pierce is the only won that was the MVP, and honestly, he was just a cog in a championship team. They could have give MVP to Pierce or Ray Allen.
My point is this....
Elite, game changing players, the kinds that leave legacies and you tell your grandkids about.... none of them wore headbands.
Clearly, it's not cut and dry, but I think the correlation I'm pointing to does exist. -

The best player from the 2004 NBA Champions. Notice the lack of a headband. -
Sage
The one exception, although I think he was wearing a headband for a different reason than Lebron does. His career also was derailed by injuries.

There's every Finals MVP ever named. Plus Doctor J and Bill Russell.
Again, Paul Pierce, who was by no means an iconic player, is the only one to have worn a head-band. And Bill Walton, but he needed it to keep hair out of his face and not doing it to be a prima dona. -

devil1197Kobe wore a headband several times.
But I bet you'll note consistent headband wearing for your argument so I am not even going to get into a pissing match with you. -
wildcats20^^Not that it matters, but Kobe has never worn a headband

No shit. Neither were the Wallace boys for the Pistons, Hughes, Howard, Mo, Charlie V, Vince and TMac on their All-Star teams, and Stephen Jackson. All players Sage showed. I named players who played big roles on there team winning rings against the Lakers(have to get my shots in while I can. Haha)wildcats20 wrote: In 04 Rip was NOT the best player in Detroit. wildcats20Yeah I mean it's not like I talked to him or anything lol. But I've never seen him in one or ever heard of him in one.
-
wildcats20Well there ya go.
Never said I was 100% positive, just could never remember seeing a headband.
BTW...those MPLS jerseys are nasty. -
2quik4uRogaine James needs a headband
