Reds at Pirates, game 1

wildcats20Bronson looked really good tonight, nice to see.
I have high hopes for this team; but if they continue to play well and win games like this, I think they can make a run at the WC if not the Cards for the division. -
wildcats20Reds up 5 spots in the ESPN Power Rankings to number 16.

Mooney44CardsLooking at the schedule, I think we play St. Louis like 50 times this year, and only play the Brewers like twice.....

i never said tonight was exciting, but i do enjoy watching bronson work quickly.swamisez wrote: 2-1 was hardly exciting, but it gets the job done.
Nice play by Arroyo. Another quality start from the lanky righty. -

yeah this is a strange schedule, already the second time in pittsburgh also. if the reds could just figure out a way to take 2 of 3 from the cards one of these times.... i believe they will miss carp in the series this weekend.Mooney44Cards wrote: Looking at the schedule, I think we play St. Louis like 50 times this year, and only play the Brewers like twice..... -
wildcats20We play the Brew Crew 15 times. The first time is a 2 game set this coming Monday and Tuesday at GABP.
We play the Cards 18 times, thus far we are 2-4 against them. -
wildcats20And we don't play the Cubs again til the first week of July.
After this 3 game series in Pittsburgh we play them in a 4 game series at home towards the end of this month and then not again til August. -

12 of those 18 will be by june 2nd, that's crazy. i'm not really sure it benefits either team, but with a younger reds team i'd rather play them more later in the year.wildcats20 wrote: We play the Brew Crew 15 times. The first time is a 2 game set this coming Monday and Tuesday at GABP.

wildcats20Didn't really look at the dates for the Cards games(other than the 6 already played), that is pretty nuts.

HereticBronson was "GOOD Bronson" tonight. When he's on, the Pirates as they currently are (young and pretty damn dumb) don't have much of a chance.
Hopefully, Morton continues his recent non-embarrassing performance-streak (currently at two starts) tomorrow and the team can string some sort of offense together against Cueto.
