Amen. I have posted this before, but you, ihslep134, did a better job than I in stating it (I can even ignore the typo on "Howard", because I know you were fired up when you typed it! )lhslep134 wrote:

I have this vision in my head of last year, when the Magic cleared out leaving Howard all alone with Z "near by". 'Nuff said on that.
What we have now will challenge and PUNISH that sort of stuff.
I know that you, Footwedge, will disagree with all I've said but take it from an old guy! ha ha!
We can beat the Magic...but need to use plan B in doing so.
If Shaq stinks against Noah...and stinks against Garnett (both ends of the floor), how is Shaq gonna do any good against the best center in the league? -

That is right, my friend, imo!2quik4u wrote:

When someone says "GTFO", they look like an idiot, so I like to point out their most idiotic moments, yours being your one on one exclusive with Thaddeus Gibson.lhslep134 wrote: Dynasty, you brought up a point not even relevant to what you consider an argument but most would consider a one sided affair (the OSU comment) which is normally a sign someone's given up and is clearly wrong.

I'll ask one more time, hoping that maybe you'll answer this, if not I'll know you can't:
What other "offensive threat" is averagine 3.8 pts per game in the postseason.
Thank you, come again.
I understand the thought process in bringing in Shaq. I thought he'd be better than what he has been. However, I don't get the thinking that come playoff time, Shaq can guard Howard, which is what you claimed. Orlando's offense is built around the pick and roll. And like I said earlier, Shaq's best defense against Howard will be his offense and hopefully getting Howard into foul trouble.
Your argument is poor in using a sample of 7 games compared to the entire regular season. When you get that we can discuss things further. -
SQ_CraziesWatch Howard right now against Al Horford and tell me you want to put JJ on him.

I'm a big a big fan of Blair and was in college. There were questions about his knees and obviously his size coming out of college which is the big reason why he slipped so far, but San Antonio has always drafted well and did so again with Blair.sleeper wrote: O RLY? You knew? Yeah, I'm sure the NBA GM's who know more about the game of basketball than all of us on here, all passed on a dominant player. Please, he wasn't drafted higher because he wasn't projected to be anything good, I mean a 6'7" center, are you kidding me?
Now sure, he had a great rookie season, its easy in hindsight to say the Cavs should have taken him now, but they didn't, so stop whining.
And I was saying this after draft day and in the first week of the season, so it's not like I just all of a sudden started talking him up.
And to be honest, there are plenty of people on here who could draft as well as some of these GM's. -
Sageyea 6 8 jj hickson on dwight howard.... that'd go over swell.

Sageblair is tight. who wouldnt want him on their team?

Hickson did a nice job on Howard this year. Shaq has no chance against him.Sage wrote: yea 6 8 jj hickson on dwight howard.... that'd go over swell.
JJ rejected a couple of Howard's hooks. Something Shaq could never do. -
SQ_CraziesLMAO...you're a fucking idiot. Still.

FootwedgeEasy there Square......more people agree with me than you. It doesn't take a whole lot of intellect to see that Shaq can't guard my grand mother...let alone Howard. In addition...this isn't football, where the defense is sent in after a punt. Your boy Shaq will get punished at both ends of the court. You want to beat Orlando? Then you're gonna have to use JJ, and Andy against Howard. The sooner you understand this, the better you'll feel about your life.
-
SQ_CraziesWell, that'd be true if you want to be the guy that credits JJ for what he did against Howard this year and ignore what Shaq did against him.
You're a fool. I don't care how many people agree with you, most of the guys around here are average level fans of the game anyways. Shaq is a big asset for us. If you want to see what Hickson would do all night on Howard, watch what Horford is doing to him. Horford is better and he started at C (his true position) all year. Getting lit up. JJ can have moments against him, but that's about it.
The Hawks are down by fucking 40 in case you don't feel like checking and Howard has abused Horford all night. -
thedynasty1998Are Noah and Howard not the same player, yet Howard much much better at it? Both are defenders first with their rebounding and shot blocking and opportunistic scorers who score in space?
Look at what Noah did against Shaq and the other Cavs bigs. -
Footwedge
What Howard is doing to Harford tonight is irrelevant. Means nothing. You still live in the fantasy world that somehow Shaq will stop Howard. He won't. Plan A has blown up. It was a decent plan...but it imploded. Will Hickson stop Howard? Noooo. But he will give us the best chance to win. It's that simple.SQ_Crazies wrote: Well, that'd be true if you want to be the guy that credits JJ for what he did against Howard this year and ignore what Shaq did against him.

The poblem with you Square is that you can't accept that sometimes a good idea goes sour...that chasing good money after bad is never a good idea.
Shaq is washed up at both ends of the court. I posted the numbers for over 6 weeks now. But real fans don't have to look them up. They've seen his awful play and they've seen how bad the team has done with him out there.
Shaq may weigh more than Howard...but Howard will eat his lunch at both ends. Put the koolaid down. It's poison.
If LBJ has a healthy elbow, then the cavs can beat the Magic...but only if Brownie figures out that playing Shaq big minutes would kill the team. -
SQ_CraziesK.

september63Sheesh.............WHO THE FUCK KNEW!! Footwedge is a better NBA coach than Mike Brown? Congrats dude! Did your pee-wee team win the YMCA title this year? Please, just shut your mouth, as you are looking very stupid!! It is one thing to have an opinion, but you are acting like you KNOW, and that is a tired act on here.
