osu45804Dan Shaughnessy is the WORST.... Every year he goes with the other team that the Celtics are playing... He is so Anti-Boston for being a reporter for the city and their sports teams! I already knew who wrote the article just from the thread title he is that easy to pick out. I'm not saying what he said is right or wrong just pointing out Shaughnessy has no credibility what so ever!

HitsRusAnybody who says Shaughnessey 'had no credibility' should look in the mirror.
Dan has been selected by his peers as one of the top ten sports columnists in the country....EIGHT times.
He was Massachusetts Sportswriter of the year SEVEN times.
He has authored several acclaimed sports books including "Senior Year" a story about his son's final high school baseball season.
(hint: it makes a great father's day present to a baseball dad.) -

What on God's green earth does thread have to do with Pittsburgh? I only posted it because it rebuts the very unfair bad rap that Cleveland sometimes receives from those who know nothing about the city.Al Capone wrote: Forbes.com just named Pittsburgh Americas most livable city. Go to their site and read and weep you Cleveland jerkoffs. I tried to find where Cleveland rated but couldn't find them. hahaha
The mistake by the lake lives on.hahaha
You must be a lonely young man if you find some cheap thrill denigrating a fine American city. My hope for you is that you'll some day grow up and get a life. Good luck, little fella. -

He picked Boston to win this series, how does that make him "anti-Boston"??
STFU.
He simply made this article because of all the Cleveland hate going around.. -

Cleveland, of all major league cities, has probably had one of the worst owners in league history for each of its three sports teams.
I defy anyone to find three worse in one city than Art Modell, the Stouffer and Dolan family and Ted Stepien.
As for Cleveland, it's ok but it could be better. They need to take advantage of the lakefront and get rid of that pointless airport by the rock hall. They also need to give the flats a facelift. It's not as nice as say Columbus but I'd take it over a city like Detroit any day. -
hoops23Cleveland is a great city, but the politics surrounding the city are bullshit and in reality, what's holding the city back from being considered great again by the masses.
So much potential, but the absurd tax laws on business owners and lack of interest in further developing the downtown area/flats/warehouse district are what's holding the city of Cleveland back..
The people have to respond in the elections, and sadly, haven't quite found the right people in office to correct this problem.
With that said, Cleveland is still know around the world for it's medical commitment, which is very important for me because that's the field I'm in. So all in all, I'm still very happy with Cleveland. -

The Dolans are spendthrifts compared to how the Stouffers ran the Indians. Ask anyone who was around back then (like me). They had basically no scouting or minor league system, and any prospect who developed was immediately traded to another team before arbitration could lead to a bigger salary.Glory Days wrote:
