derek rose or john wall?

SQ_CraziesFantasy ratings aren't the best way to rate players--but it's a pretty good way to see what kind of a season a guy had. Ask anyone who played fantasy who they'd rather have, Davis or Rose.

Exactly, I think we're forgetting this in the process.Sage wrote: Also, Derek Rose has only been in the league for what? 2 years now? He's like 21, lol. He's going to be a beast for years to come.
When Chris Paul and Deron Williams were in their second year, I don't know if anyone was willing to put them in the top 5 point guard categories yet and now they could be argued as 1 and 2.
So, it's ok if Rose isn't in a top 5 or even top 8 right now. He will be though and it's only a matter of time. -
SQ_CraziesI certainly haven't forgot that he's only 21.
And CP3 was a top 5 PG in the league when he was a rookie. -
sleeper
You were QQ'ing about the low level of assists from Rose because he has bad teammates. Well I gave you 3 guys who average more assists with teammates that are even worse.Gblock wrote:
baron davis sucked this year how many games did he even playsleeper wrote:
Baron Davis, Chris Paul, and Devin Harris all average more APG than Rose, and their teams aren't even in the playoffs. Want to try again?Gblock wrote:
kind of hard to get assists when you have no players on your team who can score.....certainly other guys around the league your comparing him to are surrounded by way more talent....especially since they traded salmonssleeper wrote:
Rose is a 25% 3-point shooter, absolutely terrible. He's not even in the top 10 in APG among just PG's LOLthedynasty1998 wrote:
I said one could argue, so it's obviously a matter of opinion. However, I would disagree with that.sleeper wrote: I'd put Billups, Rondo, Kidd, and Parker above Rose too.
i like devin harris but come on when your getting blown out by forty im not sure how hard the other team is even playing and they only won twelve games.
Rose is better than Davis, but Rose can suck a donkey's dick, he's not a top 5 PG, and he probably never will be. -

Yeah, probably right there. He had a freak rookie season.SQ_Crazies wrote: And CP3 was a top 5 PG in the league when he was a rookie.
And this is nothing to take away from Paul, but his rookie season came at a time when elite point guards weren't at the capacity that it is now.
If you made a top 10 list from the 2005-2006 season of the best point guards and compare it to this season's, the current form would blow away the former. -
Gblocki think chris paul is top 5 players bar none i wont compare rose to him....
but others are giving names of guys on teams who get blown out and have lots of assists....im not sayin im blamin them per se but assists per game and ur losing isnt getting it done.
i take into account each guys situation and evaluate who i would want....ill take derek rose...hes similar to rondo...quick and can score...its not always pretty tho but he still has lots of upside -
SQ_CraziesDefinitely has a lot of upside.
Would you say that Brook Lopez isn't a very good young big man because his team hasn't won? Just like Chicago hasn't won strictly because of Rose, other teams haven't lost strictly because of some of those other guys. -

Gblockderek rose played great tonite
-
jpake1Played pretty well when LBJ was guarding him.
-
SQ_CraziesYeah...no shit. I don't know what Bron's deal was, he looked stuck.
-
hoops23People who think Derrick Rose is overrated are fucking retarded and their brain isn't functioning properly. Derrick Rose did the same thing last postseason that he's doing this postseason, put up buckets.
Also, his name is spelled DERRICK Rose.
When John Wall performs this well in the postseason, we'll have this talk.
Also, LOL @ CP3 being a top 5 player "bar none".. I don't even think CP3 is the best PG, imo, Deron Williams in the best. I'd go CP3 2nd.. -
jpake1Rose is fuckin' quick. Something LBJ doesn't have on him. Speed, yes. Quickness, no. Rose opened his mouth and said they'd play the Cavs. He showed up tonight. He's a quiet guy that handles his. I gain respect for him each time I watch him... which is a lot more now that I live in Chicago suburbs.
-
SQ_CraziesYeah, I like Rose too.
Aren't you just going to be happy as a big if D-Wade comes to Chicago with Rose. lol -
hoops23Speaking of which, jpake, I don't remember if this has been asked before, but are you a Wade fan or a Heat fan first?
I ask because you live in a Chicago suburb and having Wade come to Chicago to play with Rose and Noah would be pretty sweet if you were a Wade fan first. -
jpake1I won't lie. I talk to it about Stacey. If Wade stays in Miami and they build something great, awesome. If he leaves, I'll still watch the Heat, but my favorite player will be right in my backyard. In otherwords, it's all good.
-
jpake1Deep down, I'm a Wade fan. I was always a big Shaq fan. My first actual game I watched was Shaq vs the Spurs his rookie or 2nd year. He was awesome. I started getting his cards and all that shit. He went for LA, I grew up a bit, and he was my favorite player. Kobe came up and it was awesome to watch my two favorite players be top dogs. But then Shaq turned into of an ass.. as well did Kobe. But I actually liked Kobe more. I was a groupie for the clutch jumpshots I suppose. However, as soon as Shaq left, I had to follow him. I didn't watch the Lakers anymore, or was a big Kobe fan. I didn't see that one coming. Shaq was my dude, but DWade grew on my real fast. Then Shaq became an ass in Miami and Wade was the man. Shaq left and I said byyyyyyye. With all that said, if Wade leaves, I'll still watch Miami and root for them. It will probably be Wade's team 1a then Miami 1b. Pretty much same thing with you and LBJ.
-
SQ_CraziesYou mean you talk to Stacey about it. LOL
I texted her tonight, told her to get tickets to the Eagles concert in Chi-town in June. I'm going. She had the nerve to text me back and say, "I don't like the Eagles."
Smack her, for me. -
jpake1Yea she told me. I'm not an Eagles fan either. Some good songs, but nobody I'll drive and pay to go see. And yes that's what I meant. I'm typing fast, watching tv, drinking beer, and eating keebler cheescake middles. I've got a lot on my plate mang.
-
SQ_CraziesWell screw you too then!
-
jpake1Suck a golf ball through a garden hose. I've seen you do a marble through a straw.
-
SQ_CraziesMeh.
-
hoops23I'll clear up one thing.
If LeBron leaves Cleveland, I'll acknowledge him as the greatest player in the game today, but he will instantly become my most hated sports figure.
I follow the teams first and foremost.
Hopefully, I'll never have this issue regarding Bron. -

And Steve Nash WON TWO MVP's, what's your point?Gblock wrote:LTrain23 wrote: People who think Derrick Rose is overrated are fucking retarded and their brain isn't functioning properly. Derrick Rose did the same thing last postseason that he's doing this postseason, put up buckets.

Lebron
Kobe
Wade
Melo
Durant
Deron Williams
Dwight Howard
(Maybe Dirk)
Those are all guys I'd take over CP3 as of right now and off the top of my head.
I mean, CP3 is a GREAT player, there is no doubt about that, but he's hardly top 5.
