Honest Question for Cavs Fans:
-
mallymal614I see where you guys are coming from. Once again Cleveland is by far the favorite. I was just shocked at how lightly people sleeping on the Celts. I won't underestimate them at all.
-
SQ_CraziesYeah...well, IF they beat the Heat, you'll see why.

Boston is not a threat to anyone. They are a team in transition right now. In a few years time the Celtics will be Rondo's team, and they will live and die based entirely on his performance. But right now they are a team in chaos. Who is the leader in that locker room right now? Is it pierce who is falling apart at the seams due to old age, is it Garnett who is the emotional leader, but he can't get it done physically any more, is it Allen who is in much better shape physically than Garnett and Pierce but who constantly defers to them or is it Rondo who has been the best Celtic this year hands down, but he seems to be afraid to tread on the toes of the other three. Boston has a ton of experience but it has no team leader or identity, there is no clearly delineated hierarchy and they have posted a 27-24 record since the turn of the year. If there is a checklist of things that you don't want your team to have going into the playoffs the Celtics have them all. They will be lucky to post 5 wins in the playoffs this year.mallymal614 wrote: What reason should Cleveland have to be overconfident against the Celtics? When was the last time Cleveland won as season series against them and last time I checked Cleveland is 1-10 their last 11 trips to Boston. Yeah some can say Shaq and Varejao didn't play in the last contest but Paul Pierce didn't play in that that one win Cleveland did get their last 11 times in Boston. I'm just saying based on recent history there is no reason Boston should be counted out. Now I do think the Cavs have the better team and should win if the two teams matchup, but Boston still has the exact starting 5 from when they won the championship so they are loaded with experience. -

That should be a helluva series.SQ_Crazies wrote: Yeah...well, IF they beat the Heat, you'll see why. -
gibby08Of course Lebron enjoys playing for Mike Brown...Brown lets him do whatever the hell he wants
-
wes_mantoothYeah, I think this might be the best, first rounder. I look for Wade to carry them for a couple of wins, but I just don't think he has enough support to beat Boston.

gibby08It's the truth my friend..
What other team in the NBA allows a PLAYER to run their huddles? -
SQ_CraziesLOL.
-
SQ_CraziesYou don't know much about this Cavs team.
-
gibby08I'm not going to argue with you..
I know what I've seen...Ferry and Brown don't run that team,Lebron does -
wildcats20Shit like that happens with EVERY TEAM.
-
wildcats20Hell I had kids on the 8th grade team I coached take over a huddle before.
-
devil1197LMAO, every major player in the league has major pull with his team.
Do you really think LAL wanted to unload Shaq? No, Kobe wanted to be the man so it was either Kobe or Shaq and LAL picked Kobe.
Kobe bitched so much about the roster beforehand, demanded to be traded only to have their FO work some trades to get Gasol. -
BR1986FBAustin Carr runs this team from "deeeeeep in the Q."
-
SQ_CraziesOk, don't argue with me. You'll look like an idiot.
It's been well documented that from a coaching standpoint, everyone in the huddle has a say. Mike Brown doesn't even speak in the huddle sometimes---sometimes he doesn't even join it. The assistants have a voice and so do the players. LeBron is the best player in the game, why would you not listen to him? In the end he and his teammates are the ones that have to execute. His basketball IQ is high as fuck, for Brown not to listen to him would be stupid. But you're a fool if you think LeBron makes all the calls.
As for Ferry, that doesn't even make sense. You have the best player in the world, Ferry is the GM. Keeping LeBron happy and in Cleveland is HIS JOB. -
wes_mantoothYeah....head coaches on an NBA team are more of ego manager than anything. These are superstar athletes.....Xs and Os are not why coaches are hired.
-
hoops23It amazes me that Cleveland has a great coach and people still shit on the guy.
I'll say nothing more on this subject, because it's pointless in my eyes. -

I think it's the exact opposite of that.wildcats20 wrote: Should he be fired? Probably not.
Will he be fired? I think so.
And if he does get fired, you have to really look at Bron staying/going again.
Should he be fired? Absolutely. If you blow home court advantage 2 consecutive years with LeBron then it's time to make a change.
Will he be? I highly doubt it.
He's not a terrible coach, but he's far from great. -

Also you make Kobe demanded to be traded sound like a bad thing look what it did, two nba finals, one championship and another possible one this year. -
devil1197
Completely wrong, maybe but Kobe had the majority factor in the Shaq situation. Do you think Shaq gets traded at all if Kobe wants to play with him?2quik4u wrote:

And no, its not a terrible thing to want to be traded but it shows his pull within the LAL organization. -
MulvaMike Brown without LeBron James: 7-14
I know some of that is skewed because other players have rested (for example, the last 4 games this year), but it's still not a very convincing record. I'm not gonna hang on the guys dick because he can win games with the best player in the NBA on his team.
I just don't see how anyone could still consider him a "great" coach after watching Stan Van Gundy coach circles around him when it really mattered last season.
And I'm nowhere near a hater. I'd probably rank him as a top 8-10 coach in the NBA right now, but if you blow home court back to back seasons you lose your coaching privileges. Especially in a city this desperate for a championship. -
Cleveland BuckMike Brown is a very good coach. The LeIso bullshit offense late in games isn't his fault, it is LeBron's. Maybe Brown could convince LeBron not to pull that shit and that it is better to move the ball and get a shot in the offense, but otherwise, there isn't anything else he or any coach can do about it. Before Brown showed up the Cavs played zero defense. When he gets here all of a sudden we are shutting down the Pistons in the playoffs and take them to 7 games. I love the way Brown coaches defense. When the players decide to play it, it is a beauty to watch them squeeze the life out of an offense. When they run the offense and get the ball inside they look good there too.

When you design an offense to go with a 1-4 set, it's not the player's fault. It's a bad coaching decision.Cleveland Buck wrote: Mike Brown is a very good coach. The LeIso bullshit offense late in games isn't his fault, it is LeBron's.
