Twitter Banner Mount Rushmore Poll (Final Spot)

Most nominations were for sports related, but John Glenn and Neil Armstrong took the last 2, as the only non-sports figures.

    Good.

I'm struggling between Paul Brown, who I think is the most Ohio through and through football guy and John Glenn. While Neil Armstrong is probably more famous, not sure many people know he is from Ohio. Glenn's career spanned a longer timeframe, he is more synonymous with Ohio (Senator for a quarter century!), and while unfortunate, his recent passing has brought to light his incredible accomplishments to the public who may not have known him beforehand.

Lebum should not be on there.

This take is because you hate him, but it doesn't make it any less retarded and wrong.

    Lol.

Since IMO it's a sports related banner I went with Jim Brown (tough choice between him and Woody, though)
  • BRF
They should all be sports figures, IMO.

I tend to agree, but I'd say half the content on this site is on this forum, none of it sports related. That said, new users come for sports talk, then typically engage in other aspects of a forum.

Went with Paul Brown. Poll will be open until Saturday morning.
  • Ironman92
    I went with Pete Rose

can't go wrong with either Brown
  • Fred Garvin
    I voted for Armstrong.

Who is the hell is Archie Miller? Was that supposed to be Archie Griffin?
  • justincredible

That one year he coached Dayton past OSU in the NCAA men's basketball tournament really elevated his stock.

Don't read article about you're favorite schools failing basketball program, which references possible new coaches, then post a poll on the OC. That's my only response/advice.

Also doesn't look to be a way to edit poll options.

Thanks for editing that because, as an old guy, I was trying to figure out what you meant about that "fitbus" or whatever it was you posted. I was hoping you meant "serious business".

My typing has a way of getting ahead of the keyboard, makes matters worse when I hit the "b" and not the spacebar.

    Paul Brown.
  • cat_lover
    Peter Edward Rose.
  • Ironman92
I feel there should be a baseball and a football representative
  • BRF
^^^^^ I thought that from the git go.

Maybe either the track guy or the golf guy needs to be replaced.

I agree. State has 4 of those teams including the oldest franchise with the reds. If griffey had best years here he would have been a no brainer. I would take out the golf and track guy and open it up to voting. I went with larkin
