Pit bulls were specifically created for aggression to be used blood sports like bull baiting and bear baiting. No race of humans were created separate for the rest for a specific deadly purpose. No

  Before I moved in (April) and cleaned up the neighborhood, the hooligan neighbors just let their pits run free wherever the fuck they wanted. I'm assuming that taking that freedom away (chained up) over the past couple months helped add to the aggression of the savage fucking beasts next door.

  Sleeper isn't a leader. He isn't in a position of power. I sincerely doubt that anything he does/does not do will result in catastrophe. Using a transference of analogy to make a point of opposition will not result in a catastrophe.

  An 11-year-old Skokie boy was hospitalized Tuesday morning after he was bitten by his family's pit bull, according to Skokie police.
  The boy was transported to Skokie Hospital and treated for numerous bite and puncture marks, said Skokie Police Officer Eric Swaback. He said the boy's injuries did not appear to be life threatening.
  
  The boy was sitting on a couch next to the dog in his home in the 8300 block of Christiana Avenue around 11:15 a.m. when a family member heard screaming and barking coming from the room, Swaback said. By the time police arrived on scene, the dog was no longer biting the boy, he said.

  TRENTON &#8212; A pit bull that attacked a woman on Hamilton Avenue on Sunday evening died while being subdued by a police officer and firefighters, authorities said.
  The woman, a 25-year-old who was not identified, suffered several lacerations and will likely need plastic surgery, police said. She was taken to Capital Health Regional Medical Center in Trenton following the 8 p.m. incident.

  A Weakley County man was airlifted to a hospital in Nashville after being attacked by a pit bull while having a seizure.
  According to the Weakley County Sheriff's Department, 58-year-old James Kirk suffered a severe injury to his throat.
  The sheriff's department reports the incident happened Wednesday afternoon on July 13 at Kirk's home in Martin, Tennessee.
  Kirk's wife told investigators the man was laying in bed with the family's pet dog when Kirk had a seizure.
  The pit bull then attacked Kirk while he was having the seizure

  To the OC lawyer and legalese types... In your opinion, what is the statute of limitations on going after my neighbors or compensatory punitive damages? Here is a breakdown.
  
  - Sunday - Dog attack. Vet arrives and takes pics and documents everything. I tell neighbors no police report if dog is put down. Dog is put down.
  - Monday - I call sheriff to talk off the record, he informs me that vet documentation is a good thing, as well as document stating the agreement of all parties. He says he understands the "being neighborly" thing about the whole situation.
  - Tuesday - Rage builds
  - Wednesday - Rage builds more
  - Thursday - Rage builds more, documents signed stating acknowledgement of incident and agreement for neighbor to pay bills.
  - Friday and on - Rage continuing to build, non veterinary bills adding up, peace of mind ruined, "dream home" now a nightmare
  
  I want to talk to a lawyer, but I just want your opinions. I just want to know how long I have to seek compensatory punitive damages, or to seek retribution for the costs we are eating that may not be covered in the agreement, as well as the mental and emotional anguish that my wife has been put through. Can I decide in a month that I want to go after these idiots, since I didn't file a police report? The vet took very thorough documentation and pictures of the incident. We are just getting more and more pissed as every day passes.
