GoT Season 6 discussion

Yeah the battle was insane. Had to cost a fortune to make that.

    Gut is so, so dumb.
LMAO....so, so predictable. Unless you're an idiot, in which case it was surprising and dramatic and a fantastic episode.

Yeah, that was ridiculous. How about maybe turning around and walking backwards so you can see the arrows coming? Anything besides doing exactly what Ramsey wanted lol.

You didn't like it because it was predictable?

    Why do you even watch?

Anyone know why Davos would immediately suspect the Red Woman for Stannis' daughter dying? (forgot her name)

So he can be "that guy"?

I mean, I was bored yesterday, so I scanned about 6-7 online reviews of the episode and the average recap was "predictable, but awesome", with minor criticisms here and there, but the focus of things on how awesome the battle scene was. The AV Club harped more on the predictability than most, with added mention about how this battle was pure good vs. evil without the shades of grey that made, for example, "Blackwater" awesome (where you had sympathetic characters fighting for both sides) and that still came off as "it was awesome to watch, but to what point other than to kill off a particularly hate-worthy guy?".

He found some memento that he'd given her in the middle of a place where there was burnt wood, so I think that was a case of putting 2 and 2 together.

No no no - i get that he knows shes dead, i don't get why he would suspect her though.

He knows about how one of her go-tos is "sacrificing royal blood to get results" (from when he rescued royal bastard Gendry a long ass time ago) and her form of sacrifice is fire, so I'm guessing that when he saw burnt wood and that memento next to each other, he figured she had her burnt to get the favor of her god.

Davos has to realize that even if Mel burnt her it was Stannis that gave the order. And both were influenced by his bat shit crazy wife.

True, but Davos' characterization is essentially that he near-worshipped Stannis and he had an intense dislike of Meli, and felt it was his duty to give Stannis good advice to counter her's after failing at trying to kill her. So it's easy for me (at least) to believe that, in his mind, all the Baratheon deaths (Stannis, Selyse, Shireen) are Meli's fault in one way or another.

Can she get naked one more time before they kill her? Dany's red witch is smoking hot too.

As long as the necklace stays on.

I don't think Mel dies, she still has to meet Arya again.

I hoped this wouldn't be the typical dull finale. Everything about what makes this show great.

Looks like they will waste no time in closing loose ends and bring us quickly to the final confrontation with the WW since there's no one left, really, to oppose Dany's army.....although, there's that crazy uncle with 1000 ships and they kind of hinted that the Dothraki are useless at sea. Only problem with that theory is, well, dragons.

That may have been the best episode to date. I wasn't sure how they'd top S6E9, but they did. And man, they eliminated a lot of characters!!!

My jaw was literally dropping several times.

I think the Arya/Many Faced God thing is all making sense too. She has a list, remember. She is going to use her new talent to complete it.

So was mine. As soon as the sparrow and the boy went down into the dungeon, I knew what as going on. Tomen's reaction was shocking though. Shit is going down next season....
