    Any power outages going on?

Saw the Duquesne basketball team was stuck in stand still on a Pennsylvania highway since 9:15 last night and don't expect to move until tomorrow morning.

Winter weather is a bitch to forecast which is why you get the overreactive forecasts a lot, but they fucking nailed this one. One model basically hit it on the nuts. The wife and I have friends from school strung out from Athens, into the WV mountains, and all around DC and NYC, and the pictures have definitely been impressive

If by impressive you mean "glad that shit didn't hit up here", then I agree.

Can't find video but the Duquesne team video of them finally moving on the highway???? It showed about 6 players celebrating and 4 of them looked exactly alike? Didn't look real.

I am definitely not complaining that it got warm enough today that we lost snow in this, lol

At what point do you start attempting to get the snow off your roof? I remember seeing people in Buffalo doing that last year.
  • sportchampps
I think most roofs can withstand up to about 3-4 feet but last year the company my wife works for lost almost all of their inventory when a warehouse roof collapsed from the snow. I think the warehouse company's roof paid for it all but I know it was a stressful time.

Well got some snow drifts on my room about 5-6 feet high. Luckily the snow is very dry and not heavy

It's supposed to rain here in DC on Tuesday, but there is no way I am getting my Car out until then.

    A flat roof I'm assuming?

I believe so the warehouse was in Groveport, Ohio and held inventory for Michael Kors WWE and a few other places.

Yeah, even if I dig out my car, I don't even want to move it because it would be impossible to find a parking spot.

Parking on the street is for poor people.

Ended up with 33.5in here in the Maryland burbs. Shoveled out 1 car and parking space, still have 1 left. The plow put a nice wall in front of the cars that took over two hours just to get one car out. Been thinking of moving this yea, definitely not getting a place without a garage.

We got between 2-3 feet just south of Rockville, MD. The wind really created some awesome snow drifts. Wife and I spent 3 hours shoveling out my car and half of her SVU. We live in an apartment complex, and they have done a good job of clearing the snow around the complex. They have a few bobcats going moving the snow to the edges of the parking areas. I'll go out today and finish digging out wife's car.
Overall, area is still crippled. Main roads are "passable", but like in 2010, will be a few days before the secondary roads are dug out. Unlike in 2010, there were no great power losses. So, that is very good.

NYC got crushed. The travel ban made it awesome. No cars, everyone out in BK boozing. Had a blast.
