I don't want to read the Hickville Tribune that a 29 year old guy died from shortness of breathe after P90X plyo.like_that;1062153 wrote:lol reps. I hope nobody helps ETB. -

Funny you say that. The realtor who just sold the house that I flipped is asking around if anyone has Insanity that she can borrow/burn. I'm thinking "bitch, please...I did 3 rounds of P90X before I even TRIED Insanity and I was spitting up lung the first time I did the WARMUP." She'd be toast.Sonofanump;1062294 wrote:I don't want to read the Hickville Tribune that a 29 year old guy died from shortness of breathe after P90X plyo. -

I have not even moved on from the first two workouts, cardio circuit and plyo. The warm up is ten times harder than P90X plyo which was the hardest workout on the P90X.BR1986FB;1062337 wrote:Funny you say that. BR1986FBI'm on the fence. Love Wendler but my joints are completely beat up. I'm debating taking a week off and starting a P90X/Insanity hybrid.

SonofanumpCore fucking syngergistics tonight, I fucking hate superman banana.
-
SonofanumpDid P90x Cardio for the first time tonight, I understand why I never did it prior.
-
chicago510Did p90x this summer, but I haven't touched it since I moved to cincy. Did a little plyo/kenpo hybrid today on my off day from lifting and man it kicked my ass.

Yeah, that workout is lame.
Decided this past Saturday to rest a week and start my 6th round of P90X/Insanity to lean out for Summer. The only day I won't be doing is yoga. I'll substitute a walk/sprint regimen on the treadmill. Will also be adding a heavy compound movement (bench press/deadlift, etc) on it's matching workout day at the end of my workout.
As a side note, I'll be intrigued to see this new bodybuilding/mass program "Body Beast" that Beachbody will be releasing soon. -

My friend who is just starting into P90X wanted to do it, I did Insanity earlier so I did not mind at all getting a second light workout in. But Jesus, that was boring. Yoga then Kenpo then light Plyo?BR1986FB;1070926 wrote:Yeah, that workout is lame.
I've done this for my hybird:
1) Insanity Cardio
2) P90X Chest (back or sh & tri)
3) Insanity Plyo
4) P90X Biceps (back or sh & tri)
5) light yoga then basketball
6) Legs & back -
BR1986FBWhen you're first starting the P90X cardio isn't too bad but once your stamina builds up you have to add things like weighted gloves/ankle weights to even get any effect.
-
SonofanumpYeah, I did that (weighted gloves and ankles) for awhile with kenpo before I finally gave up on it all together. Thankfully I found and obtained insanity.

You guys are crazy ( but inspirational). I'm happy just to alternate P90/ChaLean for 4-5 days a week while watching diet. I'm not in awesome shape, but I'm a pretty solid 170 (down from 200), which is less than what I was at my college graduation. I'm aiming for 167.5 (5 lbs more than HS graduation, when I was definitely too skinny).BR1986FB;1070991 wrote:When you're first starting the P90X cardio isn't too bad but once your stamina builds up you have to add things like weighted gloves/ankle weights to even get any effect. -

The crazy ones are those doing insanity max interval training. I'm almost ready to graduate from the basic insanity to max.fan_from_texas;1071307 wrote:You guys are crazy ( but inspirational). -
birddog23Starting my 4th week of my Leangains workouts. It has been awesome so far. I have had incredible increases in my squats, deadlifts, chin ups, and pull ups. The only one that I'm still struggling with is bench press. But other than that my body has really improved and I can definitely see and feel the difference. Plus this I'm only working out 3 days a week for about 50 minutes. Martin Berkhan is the man!

How do you bench? Form?birddog23;1071352 wrote:Starting my 4th week of my Leangains workouts. It has been awesome so far. This is the proper bench press form if you are looking to increase your bench. You a) decrease the distance you have to press while still legally keeping your ass on the bench and b) you create a "shelf' with your scapula (pinching them together) to generate power/stability. Make sure you NEVER flare your elbows or you're risking front delt issues. ALWAYS tuck your elbows on descent...
