Spinoff: Top Cities in Ohio

ZWICK 4 PREZMainly discussing the Big Three here: Cleveland, Columbus, Cincinnati.
All 3 have their ups and downs. Where would you live?
Public Transportation : In my opinion they all suck for public transportation. Cleveland probably is the easiest to get around in so I give the nod to Cleveland
Airport : Toss up between Hopkins and Columbus. I'd Take Cleveland here too if I had to.
Education : Columbus has OSU so I'd imagine they take it here.
Economy : Columbus takes it here too.
Good neighborhoods : All 3 have great areas in the metro. Toss up between all 3
Affordability : Cleveland wins here in a landslide.
Food : Cleveland wins here again in my opinion. Admittedly I don't know a ton about Cincy's food scene though. Columbus is just meh to me here.
Parks : Cleveland Metro Parks in a landslide
Professional sports teams : Cleveland here as well followed by Cincy. Columbus is OSU town. Sorry Blue Jackets.
Sky Line : All 3 have cool Sky Lines. I give the nod to Cincy here.
Overall I guess I take Cleveland.

IliketurtlesI'd choose Columbus between those 3. Just for the simple fact of where it is located. I think Cleveland is the better city overall though.

We'll probably in the minority, but I actually agree with you. I love Cleveland. And I love living in (or near) Akron.ZWICK 4 PREZ;1713288 wrote:Mainly discussing the Big Three here: Cleveland, Columbus, Cincinnati.

queencitybuckeyeThe notion that Cleveland is a better restaurant city than Columbus is dated, to say the least.

Not an argument, an opinion. One backed by a couple of decades in the industry.ZWICK 4 PREZ;1713307 wrote:Compelling argument. -

I think that in a geographic radius from the downtown center of Cleveland vs. Columbus there is more ethic cuisine in Cleveland, more 4 -5 Star restaurants in Cleveland proper. Just my opinionqueencitybuckeye;1713306 wrote:The notion that Cleveland is a better restaurant city than Columbus is dated, to say the least. -
SonofanumpI don't live in either city, but I find the dinning and sporting entertainment in Cleveland better.
Cincinnati needs eliminated just due to traffic, I hate traveling through, around or near 275.
I think I'd rather live in Columbus due to locale and major university. -

What wisdom are you looking for? You stated an opinion, I stated a different one.ZWICK 4 PREZ;1713314 wrote:Can we hear some of this wisdom? -

I'd agree that the ethnic options in Cleveland are broader, but the overall quality is not better. There are great ethnic restaurants, and a comparable number of crappy ones.Belly35;1713315 wrote:I think that in a geographic radius from the downtown center of Cleveland vs. Columbus there is more ethic cuisine in Cleveland, more 4 -5 Star restaurants in Cleveland proper. iclfan2Cleveland easily. Sports teams, food, walkability.

If there is a 'dated' it might be just the opposite. The restaurant scene in Cleveland has exploded in the past few years and continues to grow. The notion that Cleveland is a better restaurant city than Columbus is dated, to say the least. -
sleeperColumbus.

sleeperYou can take Cinci off this list. It's Big 2, little 1, and then Toledo in regards to cities in Ohio.

SnotBubblesThe only one of the 3 I'd ever consider living in is Columbus.
Cincinnati is "meh," and Cleveland is "yuck." -
ZWICK 4 PREZColumbus definitely has its merits. I wouldn't fault anyone for living there. I don't feel a big downtown presence there which is odd for a big city.
-
ZoltanCleveland is older, Columbus is newer.
It was a big shock to me when I moved to Cleveland. Cleveland has great restaurants, bars, sports, arts. etc. However, most of the infrastructure and buildings are very old. If that's an issue for you, you won't like Cleveland. -
Ironman92Of the 3 I like Columbus....but also have only spent a few days in Cleveland so I'm ignorant to much of what they have to offer.
-
OSHI like the food in all three.
But, Columbus wins it for me because of: Columbus Crew SC. -
