Feta Pep and Banana Peppers with regular cheese as well. I Like all different types of crust so we usually mix it up.

For a good specialty pizza I'm a fan of ZPizza and their Pesto or Chipolte Style sauce.

Pepperoni, green peppers, banana peppers, and bacon on a pan pizza is my go-to order, especially when I'm drunk. I also like when places have buffalo chicken pizza. That's always fantastic.

I was in Des Moines and ate at a place called Fong's Pizza. They specialized in Asian food as pizza toppings. My buddy and I ate crab rangoon pizza and it was fucking amazing.

    Pep, extra cheese. That's it.

I will eat green peppers, onions, sausage; as long as there are no mushrooms.

My cousin lives out there, I'm going to see if he's eaten there.

    NY Style...Pepperoni, Sausage (Ground)

Regular Hand-Tossed...Sausage, Pepperoni, Green Pepper, Onion.

    Dont like Chicago Deep Dish

I usually try to stick with 1 topping, but if I go more than one, I add Green Pepper or Onion to it.

It seemed like everyone we talked to in Des Moines had been there. It's right downtown, near a bunch of bars, and is open late. So I'm sure if your cousin does any drinking downtown, he's probably found his way.

lol, dont know how I missed that post.

Fongs is amazing. Was in Des Moines twice last year for work. Had it 3 total times. I was hammered all 3 times, so maybe it isnt actually amazing, who knows? But its legendary among the Nascar drivers.

Ya. I was pretty hammered when I had it too. We had done a show at Whiskey Dixx a few doors down and we drank for free. Needless to say, I did my best to try as many whiskeys on the menu as I could and was pretty blitzed.

Did you hit up the Miller High Life Lounge while in Des Moines?? That is one of my favorite stops for work because of the deals at all the bars on every night and the High Life Lounge.

I didn't and was really bummed. But we didn't get into town until shortly before the show and were only there for a night before heading to Minneapolis the next day. And since High Life stopped serving food at 10, we figured we'd just drink for free a little bit longer at Whiskey Dixx and then hit up Fong's. I definitely regret not getting to eat the bacon wrapped tater tots.

Next time you are in Des Moines...

The Bacon Wrapped Tots are amazing, and I highly recommend the Broasted (Fried) Chicken as the entree. Very good.

Hopefully the 3 customers that showed up to watch you were able to drink for free too, so they could tolerate your set.

I have to change my answer. The best pizza ever is From Thurmans (yes the awesome burger place). They make a Reuben Pizza that is heaven on earth. Thin crust 1000 island sauce corn beef and sauerkraut. It's so good I don't even order burgers from there anymore

    Ohio Pizza = Best Pizza

    Thin crust with pep,sausage,mushrooms.

Insert any crust put on sauce, cheese, pepperoni, bacon, and banana peppers. I like mushrooms but not the ones from the can. Most pizza places uses the ones from the can and they make me sick.
