It's the world we live in. It's called political correctness and the Nazi's have already dug in deep.bigkahuna;1732399 wrote:Usually you catch sarcasm don't you?
As for the highlighted part, that's a sad way to live life. -

Are you implying that you don't know what being politically correct is? Not surprising. Stupidity isn't punished enough in society.Raw Dawgin' it;1732415 wrote: -

I think the guys who think it is perfectly fine for a man to use the woman's bathroom should put it to a test and start using woman's bathrooms all the time and see what sort of reaction and looks they get.jmog;1732406 wrote:None of them would have a problem if men used their restrooms at the same time?
I find it difficult to believe that most women wouldn't at LEAST get upset if they saw a grown man in the ladies restroom with them.
I am thinking they wont do it because they know it is just plain weird and would probably run into some trouble. -
sleeperAgain, would someone answer my question as to what constitutes the line between advocating individual expression of one's true self and correcting a mental disorder? Should we stop finding a cure for autism and instead accept it as part of normal behavior and mental state?
Since many of you have taken a rational stance to this thread topic, surely you can educate someone like me on which mental disorders are okay and which are not; while explaining the logic behind your argument. This'll be good. -

Only you could loop Nazis into a discussion about which bathroom to use.sleeper;1732416 wrote:Are you implying that you don't know what being politically correct is? Not surprising. Stupidity isn't punished enough in society. -

Most men get arrested for doing so; not much the other way around. My mention of the Nazi's has nothing to do with bathrooms and more to do with political correctness and the policing of thought. Remember, its okay to express yourself as long as you think the way that we think. "We" of course being the side of what corresponds to the greatest amount of feelz.Raw Dawgin' it;1732419 wrote:Only you could loop Nazis into a discussion about which bathroom to use.

First you have to prove Bruce has a mental disorder. People don't consider a gender identity crisis a mental disorder since it's part of LBGT. If you say Bruce has a mental disorder you're saying all gays do too.sleeper;1732418 wrote:Again, would someone answer my question as to what constitutes the line between advocating individual expression of one's true self and correcting a mental disorder? I think Sportsandlady touched on this already - You either agree he's courageous or you hate ****, there's no middle ground.sleeper;1732421 wrote:My mention of the Nazi's has nothing to do with bathrooms and more to do with political correctness and the policing of thought. It's called Gender Dysphoria and that is what Bruce has. It's a mental disorder. Surgery is listed as a treatment option but there is conflicting research on if that actually helps and many doctors heavily advise against it since it doesn't actually cure the disorder.Raw Dawgin' it;1732422 wrote:First you have to prove Bruce has a mental disorder. I've yet to read anything about homosexuality being a mental disorder but I'm certainly open to reading about it. -

But you are and will remain a victim forever because that is the world we live in. The thought police are everywhere these days and rational thought is quickly going the way of the dinosaurs.bigkahuna;1732425 wrote:I'm pretty liberal, but PC can go f*ck itself -

You really want to play the semantics game when I asked a simple question? Typical. You have no ability to put together a cohesive rational argument.Ytowngirlinfla;1732428 wrote:Autism isn't a mental illness.
As far as autism, I fail to see the difference between a neurological development disorder and a mental disorder but please enlighten me Dr. YTWON. You aren't clever and if you are employed with a salary I applaud you on your ability to hide your obvious lack of intellectual integrity. -

It doesn't even need to be a middle ground. For example, I do not care what he does but I think its insane that I have to care or have an opinion one way or the other.Raw Dawgin' it;1732423 wrote:I think Sportsandlady touched on this already - You either agree he's courageous or you hate ****, there's no middle ground.

Actually I'll be a Dr in about 2 years. I'm also retired at 35 and never have to work again with a nice pension from the government and a very successful small business. But hey why not get paid to get my PhD at Ohio State, I'm still young and all.sleeper;1732431 wrote:You really want to play the semantics game when I asked a simple question? Typical. I saw enough stupidity in this thread that I had to address it. I've barely even talked about the whole sex change shit and mostly have been focused on stamping out the stupidity.Heretic;1732433 wrote:And yet you have over twice as many posts on this thread than anyone else. like_thatLOL I have a hard time believing anything ytownfail just posted. She is not smart enough to get a Phd from OSU, I'm not sure how her pension from her branch is good enough to live comfortably when she is only 35 and was not an officer, and if she is running a small business isn't that considered work?

I'm not smart enough? Yeah okay. I finished top 10 in my class in HS of over 500. Full academic ride to college. I get $3100 a month from the VA for the rest of my life. 100% disability. I'm not running a business. I'm a part owner of a 3D printing company with some of my college friends. I'm just an investor. You sound jealous or something?like_that;1732449 wrote:LOL I have a hard time believing anything ytownfail just posted. If I recall she had a fairly impressive degree before she enlisted so I wouldnt think it would be a stretch for her to continue on and get her PHD. Now as for what the Navy pension and running a small business I cannot confirm, nor deny, those.like_that;1732449 wrote:LOL I have a hard time believing anything ytownfail just posted. She is a very bright young, well not so young anymore, lady.
