ernest_t_bassSleeper being sleeper.

HereticSleeper doing everything within his power to make people forget about Gut saying Pete Rose is only a borderline HoF'er.
Kudos for that, I guess! -

Wouldn't there be more competition when there were fewer (much fewer) avenues for artists to reach listeners? And besides, competition has never been a significant force behind music, lol. That's fucking retarded....this isn't industry.sleeper;1630270 wrote:Tell me more about how competition makes things worse...

MJ isn't special. You are just delusional.sleeper;1630466 wrote:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moonwalk_(dance)
History of MJ's 'signature' move. LOL.
Tl;dr: He didn't pioneer it; he stole it from other people. Surprise surprise!
1. Most MJ fans know he didnt invent the moonwalk. But any idiot knows he's the guy that made it popular. Hell it's the first sentence in the link you posted!
2. Cab Calloway, Dean Martin, James Brown, Judy Garland...all singers (performers), and all choreographed the move.
3. MJ's version is called the "backslide"...backsliding is a breakdance move, pioneered by Jeffrey Daniel. Daniel himself taught Mike the move in the 80s and MJ performed it during the Motown special.
4. You're a freakin idiot. -

The reality is raiderbuck googled a bunch of stuff and tried to pass it off like he knew the details the whole time. Desperate at best.vball10set;1630926 wrote:Googling sleeper gets you "You're a frickin idiot"? -

Uhh..no I did not. Jeff Daniel was interviewed during a MJ special about two years ago. I watched it. I believe it was a special about one of his albums (Bad? This is it? Not totally sure.) Plus, most people actually know that about the moonwalk.sleeper;1630932 wrote:The reality is raiderbuck googled a bunch of stuff and tried to pass it off like he knew the details the whole time. I referenced the link you posted from wikipedia because it actually dispels the theory that you had about singers not choreographing their own moves. But that concept just went over your head.
Nice try.
edit...Hey! I tried that handy tool called Google and it was actually a special on MJ's "Bad" album:

Not really. None of the above counters any of my arguments and merely solidifies my position as logically sound. Tell me more about how the all-time great MJ's music is no longer at the top of the charts and other music was so easily able to overcome such great music. Time to grow up old-timer.rmolin73;1631016 wrote:Translation- I'm getting my ass handed to me in this thread so I'll just throw more jibberish out there. -

Why would it be at the top of the charts still? That doesnt make any sense...it was made in the 80s.sleeper;1631054 wrote:Not really. You're logically stupid. What music from the 80s is at the top of the charts now? You're really bad at this aren't you?sleeper;1631054 wrote:Not really. Maybe because music from the 80's has been surpassed and stomped by more recent music.rmolin73;1631161 wrote:You're logically stupid. What music from the 80s is at the top of the charts now? You're really bad at this aren't you? -
