I turned it all down to major in education at BGSU. It's all true except the bolded part.

    lol

I played all sports and was All-State in every single one

My uncle won the B1Gs sometime in the 60s in Sabre. I'm sure its on OSU's website somewhere. They are being honored at an OSU basketball game this upcoming year.
That is very cool...thanks for the in depth.

Gymnastics lol! And swimming, I just cannot swim fast at all. But I played just about every sport under the sun growing up; baseball, soccer, football, track, lacrosse, golf, basketball and curling even now

I would have been decent had I stuck with basketball.

I also think I would have done well in wrestling. I participated for a year when I was like 10. Around my junior year I pinned one of our state qualifiers out in the yard in a minute or less with no real clue what I was doing....so if I'd had some training, I might have been pretty good.
I imagine your wrestling career would go as follows: first practice you try and fuck the guy you are wrestling and they'd ban you from the sport.

Played basketball, have been told that I would have been an awesome QB from playing backyard football and dropping dimes all over the place. Not that there is any real correlation.

This thread reminds me of the dipshits at my school who didn't play football for the school, but were sure to let me know that if they did in fact play, they would have torn it up.

I wrestled and played football in HS. Played baseball thru 8th grade (dropped it to focus on wrestling and football) and played soccer until I moved to the states in 5th grade.

Sports I think I would have been good or at least decent at:

-Baseball: I was pretty good, but my focus was on wrestling and football, so the other guys starting getting ahead of me. I would like to think I would have been decent enough to at least ride the pine of the varsity team my senior year.

-soccer: when I lived in Italy I always played soccer with the Italians in my hood. I can still keep up when I play now, but that's only if I am a defender lol.

-Cycling: Never competitively cycled, but I actually think I could do well. I have the legs for it, I'm normally in great cardiovascular shape, and I'm not a mentally weak *****.

    Sports I would suck at:

-basketball: I'm horrible. I'm the asshole white boy who hustles and plays defense during pickup games.

    Swimming: very slow

    Hockey: shitty skater

Golf: not a sport, but I suck at it regardless.

I would have been absolutely lousy at lacrosse - i have the hand-eye coordination of stoned octopus. I would have been a great wrestler, though - great arm and upper-body strength. My high school didn't offer it...

    So you're Aaron Craft?

I think I would have been decent at wrestling. I've held my own with some pretty good wrestlers just from being scrappy and having no technique.

I don't think I would have ever been good at soccer. I'm used to running with my feet and that's it. I played intramurals and was a pretty good defender, but have no dribbling/touch/shooting/passing skills at all.

I was a runner in high school and enjoyed it except ccrunner's a douche. But I always wondered if I would have been any good at football.

I always chuckle when I hear some dbag "wonder" if they could have been any good at football. Football is hard work from the hottest days of July to extremely cold fkn days in Nov. Its getting the snot knocked out of you everyday (if youre doing it correctly) while getting screamed at by deranged coaches. Its 5 shitty days a week of practice for a chance to play 1 game a week (unlike ***** soccer which seems to play 4 games a week ). But its still the greatest game ever played.

Believe me Lowry if you had even the slightest chance of being good you and everyone else would have have known it...and you weren't...so "wonder" no more.

the only sport played in hot and cold temperatures. The only sport where coaches yell at their players. The only sport that is exhausting. Am I missing anything else about the hard nosed game of football Tiernan?

Yeah youre missing the fact that your weak ass never saw the gridiron except from your comfy confines under the bleachers with the other goths and nobodys.

I always chuckle when some old idiot gets confused on a message board.
Edit: Just saw your thread in the basement where you try to get us to fess up to being as big of a failure as you are. LOL. Please lecture me some more on how difficult high school football was for you while you struggle to not drink and drive as well. Moron.

I just wanted to clarify that football is the only sport that has those things.

    Lol. Go run laps.
  • like_that
No one gives a fuck about CC. The sport typically consists of weird emos with no other athletic ability (see said and dlazz).
  • dlazz
    I ran track, too.

ccrunner609;1624886 wrote:you would only LOL if you are stupid. CC is way harder mentally than football. If you are competing at the state level in CC, those boys are running up to 10 miles a day and lots of hard speedwork. BTW, they do it when its hot and cold out.
Lots of football players would quit if they had to do cross country workouts, but I think more cross country runners would quit if they got knocked around daily in football practice.
