30 for 30: Hillsborough

  • gorocks99
Great one tonight. Might be my favorite 30 for 30.
  • SportsAndLady
    Very good
  • QuakerOats
Will have to check it out ....... still have NC State and Valvano as my favorite by far.
  • OSH
I DVR'd it. Completely forgot about it or I would've been able to watch it tonight. Unfortunately, the reairing will be on Sunday, so I'll have to wait until then since that's when it's DVR'd.

It was okay. Too somber for my taste.
  • dlazz
Probably won't watch it since it doesn't seem seem all that interesting. Had to Google it to see what it was referring to.

I think my favorite 30 for 30 so far is the one on OJ or Pony Excess

I stopped watching. As snot said, it was too somber. Also they couldn't start cutting the fences? What a shitty way to die. Looking forward to the other 30 for 30 "soccer stories" though.

Also, what ever happened to the 30 for 30 that was being made about browns fans? It was supposed to come out in February.

I have this set to DVR later as I forgot it last night. Looking forward to seeing this.

It was traded for future draft picks ;)

Not sure about one specifically about Browns fans, but I remember seeing around February where they just started shooting on one about Cleveland sports misfortunes.

June 17, 1994 was awesome, just a crazy sports day. I still think The U is the best on pure entertainment value

Tale of 2 Escobars I think has been my favorite. I also really liked Once Brothers but most of them have been really good.

    mine as well

I watched about an hour of this one. Like a couple others said, too depressing. I was personally embarrassed for everyone involved with that whole incident. What a complete fail in humanity.

As for favorite 30 for 30s, I don't pay much attention to baseball once the Reds are eliminated. With that said, I really liked the 'Four Days in October' which portrayed the Red Sox comeback against the Yankees in the 2004 ALCS.
There's one on tonight about the early 1990's Detroit Pistons. Looks pretty good.
  • Tigerfan00
The Detroit Bad Boys looks very good.
  • Azubuike24
    The Two Escobars was awesome.

    Really looking forward to this.

The first piece of sports apparel I remember owning was a "Motor City Bad Boys" t-shirt that my mom, a big Tigers and Pistons fan growing up, bought for me when I was about one or two. I have both of Detroit's NBA Finals home video highlight tapes and watched them all the time as a kid. Love the Bad Boys, even if I was too young to remember watching them play live.

    Lamb and Mahorn were awesome.

This bad boys 30 for 30 is awesome. I miss 80s and 90s basketball

My son wore my "Bad Boys" shirt for years-he might still have it. Man-those guys were dirty! lol Loved watching them though and what they did to Jordan's Bulls, Bird's Celtics and Magic's Lakers was pretty impressive.

Just watched this 30 for 30, pretty crazy. I like the 2 escobars the best so far.

    Wish I could Rep this.

Hillsborough was good, but it's nowhere near one of the best 30 for 30s.

    Without Bias

No Crossover: The Trial of Allen Iverson
    Run Ricky Run
    Straight Outta L.A.

My five favorites: Catching Hell, Unguarded, Run Ricky Run, Once Brothers and Winning Time: Reggie Miller vs. The New York Knicks.

There are so many great choices from which to choose, though. Guru of Go, Kings Ransom, The Band That Wouldn't Die, Bad Boys, etc. The 30 for 30 series is the best work ESPN has ever had a hand in producing.

In the future, I'd really like to see a 30 for 30 done on the mysterious disappearance at sea of former NBA center Bison Dele.
