Subaru thread

Sell me on Subaru's. I'm still trying to decide what I'm going to replace my truck with this spring. I've got ~$13k to spend and my only other requirement is that it's a manual.

    I like this one: http://cincinnati.craigslist.org/ctd/4323322197.html

My wife is giving me shit for considering a wagon but she can piss off. I'm open to other models as well. Just trying to get opinions from people that have actually owned them.

Also, isn't there a subaru dealer on here? Maybe oberhaus? I can't remember the exact user.

Who is Baru, And why do you want to sue him?

If you do gardening, she wont be giving you shit when you're hauling mulch/plants in the back of the wagon. If you have a dog, wagon is the way to go for them as well IMO.

Yeah, with 3 permanent dogs and a perpetual foster dog in tow a wagon makes sense for traveling.

She also doesn't care, she was just giving me shit to give me shit.

    When did you turn lesbian?

Yes, Oberhaus sells Subarus. Supposedly good in snow. Buy one-it might quit snowing then.

Scoobs are goat. Boxer engine, runs forever, awd, great in snow, cheap maintenance, and good resale value.

Outback is possibly a Lezmobile - I'd go Impreza hatch or legacy.

Also - with $13k cash you could probably talk a lot of people down too. I'd look at some around the $18-$20k mark too.

My parents own 2 of them. I love driving the newer one, the other is my dad's work vehicle and isn't as good to drive around (it's been through a lot).

I think my mom drives an Outback Impreza. Good fuel economy. Handles well. Never drove it in bad conditions, I don't think.

I don't really care if I drive a lezmobile. I do wear a lot of flannel.

There are a lot more possibilities in the $18-20k range but I am trying to do an even swap for what I get for my truck.

No no no, go through a private seller, not a dealer. Either sell the truck on the side or bring it to a place like Carmax.

Also - if you're gonna get that kind of cash for your truck, i'd take a small loan out, say 10k, and just buy something new. Seems like it'll be worth it in the long run.

Yes, that's what I meant. Sell my truck for cash. Take that cash to dealer or private seller. Buy vehicle.

I don't want another car payment. At most I'll take a "loan" from our savings and pay it back over time. But I don't want to really do that either.

Be sure to budget for one of these stickers to put on your bumper.
