    Haha yes!

Thank freakin god, the wicked king is dead!

I FEEL LIKE PARTYING RIGHT NOW!

Disappointed...wanted a humiliating and painful death for King Pube (although that did not look pleasant).

So what happens now? Does his Queen rule - is she still queen if the marriage wasn't consummated? Or does the hand of the king now take control?

I have to assume that was the work of the Red Viper...only someone with knowledge of it would have thought to take Sansa away, and it seems like she is someone he would have sympathy for and try to protect.

In King's Landing only men can rule, thus the kingship falls to the next in line - in other words, Tommen. But yes, you are correct that until Tommen comes of age the Hand runs the day to day affairs.

Me and some friends after last night's episode.

  • Rotinaj
Yep I knew that was going to happen after some douchebag on here(don't remember who) spoiled it last year. I still loved every minute of it. Now hopefully his skank of a mom is next.

    Fucking Sage.

People who enjoy giving out spoilers like that are going to hell.

So......whodunnit? I'm thinking it was a group effort.

Knowing that Tywin and Cersei are now ruling....a bit of a pyrrhic victory.

Tyrian and Red Viper together. Just throwing out names without much thought.

Also, without rewatching the epsiode again, I could see how it would be Sansa. Giving the poisoned cup to Tyrian when he was looking for it under the table.

Loved it. I don't know who did it, but I am going with the old Grandma as my primary suspect. Also, as a wildcard, the Fool (last week he made an appearance out of nowhere and talked about how his family used to be important? This seemed weird... but no idea if I'm just guessing or if I am on to something). Who knows. But it was awesome.

Also, don't think it's Tyrion. For as much as he was putting up with it's almost too obvious to be him.

Reasons for and against most of the obvious suspects.

I'm wondering if it wouldn't be Tywin himself. He certainly wasn't a fan of Joffrey (who was clearly becoming a liability), and he'll be in control until Tommen comes of age. Plus, once he pins the murder on one of thier enemies he may even have the newly widowed family as allies.

I thought about the old lady. She made some random ass "toast" to them and then hurried off. Also wasnt laughing at all during the ceremony. HBO did a great job of showing all the people we would suspect, and make it seem like it could be them, by how they framed the episode.

    Sansa's necklace.

    Let that marinate....
  • SportsAndLady
I know who did it due to the spoiler last year, so I won't ruin it.

Still so pissed about that. I'm just glad the ep was the second of the season and I didn't have to wait all season for it to happen.
  • Rotinaj
Was it spoiled in the same post as the the one saying he would be poisoned? I'm asking because I don't remember reading about who did it.
  • Laley23
So glad I missed all these posts. Guess I got lucky by being 3 episodes behind all year, cause it made me stay away from the thread and social media on Sunday nights.

Sansa is a wreck and always been too worthless to pull anything like that off. Not to mention she'd have to take poison with her and just hope for the good fortune of something like Joffrey's cup falling to her feet.

No to the old lady because they want power, and her daughter seemed more than capable of handling Joffrey (and this is before even having sex to hold over him).

My money is on the Red Viper or Tywin...although RR wrote this episode himself, so the clues are probably subtle but there. I actually think the poison was in the pie, otherwise the poison had to be specifically in Joffrey's cup, which would significantly limit the field of suspects.

Im going to rewatch it again tonight. But, what did Tyrian say about paying them when it was all over? When the imps were doing their song and dance?

Someone "spoiled" that something was going to happen at the wedding....just never knew when that damn wedding was actually going to get here.

But you kind of had to know something big was going to happen, just based on how long of a scene that was. When Joffrey was torturing Tyrion, I thought for sure he was going to march out his whore and execute her with his new sword.

I'm not saying Sansa was the mastermind behind, just that her necklace seems to be involved....to me at least.

I took it to mean he wanted to make sure they were fairly compensated, as he obviously hates seeing them exploited.

Tyrion is far too smart, and patient, to do this and leave himself so vulnerable to blame. I thought he looked genuinely shocked and puzzled at the end holding the cup. I think he may have been wondering if Sansa did it before handing him back the cup.

That makes sense. Didnt really think about him wanting them compensated since he is one of them. Not sure why lol
