I call Huntington (this is about Dec 20th) telling them my current card is not being read by the card readers at several stores and I would like a replacement. I'm told "well your card was affected by the Target data breach so we have already issued you a new card and it should be in the mail." It could take three weeks to arrive but we've already shipped it so be on the lookout for the new card. I accept this and tell them ok but I'm going to be using another card instead of yours while I wait are you sure you can't just send me a new card express as I spend a good amount on the card each day for my job. Well this card should arrive to you promptly.
I call all back last Thursday. I tell Huntington I still haven't received the card and it has been three weeks. They tell me with the holidays that I should wait until Monday and if I haven't received it by then to call bank. I tell them ok but I usually use this card daily for my job and Is there anyway you could express ship me a card I would be willing to pay for it. He says I'm sorry for the misinformation sir I'm looking at your account right now and it should have been shipped out today and no sooner. (Meanwhile my wife comes home) I say Well can you just send me out a new card express mail I will pay for the express shipping. He says just to be patient it should arrive in the next few days it was put in the mail today. (my wife asks me who's on the phone I tell her huntington. My wife says oh I got the mail your new card came today) I then ask the supervisor what his name was and his employee number and if he could check one more time when my card was mailed. He says sir I'm looking at your account and it was mailed out today and no sooner you should expect it in a few days if you do not please call back or go to a local branch. I then politely tell him then how come I just got it in the mail today and my wife had it and she just got home with my card. Sir I'm not sure. I say ok Justin let me talk to your supervisor then I want to file a complaint on you. Sir I am the supervisor I am who you file complaints to. I say ok then I will take my banking elsewhere. Ok sir have a nice day click.

Their call center blows balls. That "supervisor" probably makes $14/hour. I would've gone into a branch and talked to a banker after new years. Like LJ said, go into the branch. Kind of surprised you didn't do that after having to call them a second time. They shut my card down several months ago after fraudulent charges. raiderbuckI would encourage anyone who's ever had an issue with timeliness or satisfactory levels of customer service to go inside a branch and talk to someone. Not yell at the first person you see, but actually sit down and ask "Why has the policy changed?" Usually the bankers or managers are human enough to explain why.
...and if someone ever says "well it's just our policy", then more than likely they're saying that to get you to leave. As a customer you have a right to know why things change. Especially if you're been a long time customer. -

Although I've never had to go to deposit anything for her (and she's never had to go deposit anything for me), Belly's situation wouldn't have been a problem because we know how the internet works and I could have just deposited it into our joint account and then she could go online and transfer the money into her account. Problem solved.
sportschamps - I'd look into leaving if I was in your position. The nice thing is that since you got your card, you don't have to rush. But that's pretty shitty of them to do and it would piss me off, too. -

I was going to advise him to just deposit into the joint and transfer the funds..but not sure how much online banking belly does.

i do live in a computer world more that some of you can comprehend, I have the ability with some of the accounts to do digital transfer, but prefer not to.
i keep my personal life simple, we have a few retail credit cards, only a credit / debit card for my wife and I. If it's not in the account to spend we don't buy. If we wants something that is costly we talk before purchasing, shop for the value and evaluate what is the best for our needs. -
