Bale was a better Bat but even though I can't stand Affleck he was better than pretty much everyone else not named Bale.

And to be honest the introduction of Wonderwoman at the end stole the show.

    Overall 7/10.
I disagree about Batfleck. I thought he was the best Batman so far. You got to see detective Batman along with the tactician who is great with prep. Also his fighting skills were far superior to any batman we've seen. He was believable as both Bruce Wayne and Batman. I like they went with the experienced Batman.

As for Marvel movies this is better than most except Winter soldier and maybe first avengers. Definitely better than Age of ultron.

Agree on Wonder Woman. She is definitely a bad ass as well as being hot.

I saw bat vs sup. I liked it. Pretty unrealistic and lots of plot holes but that's kind of what you expect with super hero movies.

    7.5/10

Transformers? No. I didn't see that at all. Transformers movies sucked and were corny as hell. BvS had its corny moments but it was still a pretty good movie. TF was just shit blowing up and corny love stories.

I'm not saying they are the same, but if you can ignore the shitty parts and appreciate the action (which was good once it finally started) I think you will like this movie

Creed 9/10 - I haven't seen the other Rocky movies, but I really enjoyed this one. I thought the final fight scene with Adonis v Conlon was really good. Especially the entrances of the fighters. I thought Michael B Jordan was excellent. Also, as a hip hop fan I really enjoyed the music throughout the movie. Nicely done.

Lila & Eve 6/10 - meh, it was on Netflix so the wife and I watched it. It wasn't terrible, but not that great either. I hardly remember previews for this flick. The ending had a surprising yet familiar twist to it, which I enjoyed.

You've never seen a Rocky movie?

I've never seen a Rocky movie start to finish. But have probably seen most scenes.

this is probably a more accurate statement for me. Haven't seen them from start to finish, but I've seen a lot of the important stuff to put the story together.

You really should watch them start to finish. I think 2,3,4 are the best.

Batman v Superman - 7ish/10. I didn't hate it, which means it exceeded my expectations. Batfleck was decent, and even Jesse Eisenberg didn't annoy me all that much. Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman is excellent.

If I am ranking recent DC movies, this is definitely not my fave, but it's not horrible.

    The Dark Knight - 10
    Batman Begins - 9
The Dark Knight Rises - 7.5
    Man Of Steel - 6.5
    Batman V Superman - 7ish

Batman v Superman. Give it a 5. Bored at the beginning. Just didn't do it for me.

I agree with your assessment of recent DC movies. The Dark Knight Series was better than the rest and BvS was next. Man of Steel was good, but not great. The main reason TDK was a 10 however, had nothing to do with C. Bale. While he was the best Batman we have had, Ledger's Joker made that movie quite frankly amazing.

By far the best fit/actor in BvS was Gadot as Wonderwoman. She will do well in Justice League and they should have a Wonderwoman backstory movie similar to what the Marvel movies have done.

whiplash. it was okay. 7/10. the ending was incredibly perplexing.

Saw BvS last night at the Cobb Cinebistro, which was pretty damn cool in it's own right.

I'd say that it's nowhere near as bad as the critics are saying...but I do see where your average reviewer would have problems with it. There were some plot holes, and they did cram a bunch of superfluous stuff in there.

Up until last night, I couldn't imagine anyone holding a candle to Bale's portrayal of Bruce Wayne/Batman, let alone freaking Ben Affleck. That said, Affleck is now the standard. He simply killed it. Gal Gadot was no slouch either...very much looking forward to some more Wonder Woman.

I was looking forward to Jesse Eisenberg's take on Lex Luthor, but it was a letdown. Yes, Luthor is a criminal mastermind and probably insane, but not "borderline incoherent foaming-at-the-mouth" insane.

It was worth the money, but it's pretty apparent that DC has an uphill battle on their hands to play at the same level as Marvel.

Ant Man - 7/10 much better than anticipating, and more than did the trick for an in flight movie

Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol - 7.5/10. About what I expected

I watched hateful eight last night. I typically love Tarantino movies but this was not my favorite. I would rate it higher than Jackie Brown and I go back and forth over if I liked this or Death Proof better. I think I probably like hateful eight a little better because I did think the acting was very good.

    Mighty ducks 2...8/10
few exceptions where sequel is better than original

Room - 8/10. That kid was fantastic. Also shouldn't have watched in a public setting lol.

Finally saw the big short last night. It was good but agree with Spotlight for best picture.

Straight Outta Compton - 8/10 - I thought it was good. I watched it with some of my older relatives and thought they'd cringe at all the cursing (seriously, the amount of F-bombs dropped in that movie would rival a Scorcese gangster flick), but they enjoyed it too. I thought O'Shea Jackson Jr. portrayed his father well. The kid who played Dr. Dre was good too. NWA was slightly before my time, and I probably wouldn't have been able to listen to them anyway, so it was cool learning about their back story.

American Sniper - 7.5/10 - I thought it was good, but sort of failed to live up to the hype so to speak. Maybe it was just my own hype? Perhaps I was expecting some major blockbuster type movie or something. However, I still enjoyed it and would watch again if it were on TV.

I just watched this - unreal. It just reminded me of the Ariel Castro kidnappings. Some real sick mother fuckers in this world.

The kids voice overs about what was what in his mind...sickening. Teared up a few times watching that shit.
