Edit: or The Bachelorrette, whatever is on right now.
On Monday, my g/f said "I can't believe how many of my stupid fucking friends watch the Bachelor."

    I was happy

Yeah, it honestly makes me sad to see people I otherwise like watching those lame shows. The worst is that a guy I know watches them WITH his wife.

Liking The Wire so far. About 3.5 episodes in. Does it stay this pace, or does it get bad ass?

It gets badass. A lot of people don't like season 2 at the docks. I really liked it. Season 3 gets awesome when you meet Marlo.

Didn't care for Marlo, didn't think the character was believable.

Show is at its best with Stringer Bell - the greatest villain in tv history.

Marlo was my favorite badguy on the show. Snoop a close second. Stringer went soft when he got all educated.

You want it to be one way, but it's the other way.

You mean the character who is based off a real life person who actually has the name Stanfield and was created by the guy who worked for the Baltimore Sun during his time as a ruthless drug lord isn't believable??? Something isn't adding up lol.

Did you know the actress that played Snoop was a real-life banger who served time for murder?

I always felt like the character was some 18-19 yr old kid (although the actor was actually @30) which I thought was too young for the power he allegedly had. Real life dude was 25 at the peak.

Speaking of which, the actor was victimized by a drive-by.

"One of the injured got a ride to the hospital by a passerby. Little did he know, a shoot-out vehicle was following him. When he got to the hospital, they shot him again. That’s gangsta…"

I never felt Marlo was that young. Guys like Bode I felt were that young. Marlo always seemed older and way more experienced.

Did Frank really have a 3way with Meechum and his wife?

I totally saw Meechum banging Claire, but was shocked Frank joined in.[/SP]

It does start out a bit slow, but gets very bad ass. Although not quite in a way most other shows do which is what makes it the greatest show ever. I'm about to re watch the series for the 6th time, I highly recommend watching it again when you finish.

Almost through season 2 of the Wire. I liked season 1 better.

    1, 3, 4, 5 are all more "alike" compared to 2.

Thank you ETB for keeping us filled in on your "The Wire" watching timeline. I've been waiting for an update. I'm keeping a log.
