  I would just sit him down, calmly, and explain that the Tigers are the greatlest baseball team in MLB history, their early exit from the playoffs was a "fluke" and that they'll win the next 25 World Series'. This HAS to be the root of his odd behavior (the Tigers losing). That will fix him !
