Buy GTA instead - will not be buying.

Oh look COD had dogs and fish. Yeeeuck.
BF4 will be a turd just like every other BF game has been. BF is for people who are fucking terrible at COD. I know BF lovers will say it's the exact opposite, but it's not as far as online play goes. Oh look, I'm playing BF online and can't find anyone on the map...oh, and now someone killed me from a jet. That was fun.

Correct. It takes thought and actual skill rather than everybody crapped into tight spaces and just spraying bullets.

Like I said, whichever you like, just play it. One doesn't have to be better than the other.

Oh, I'm sorry, I don't play a virtual reality combat game for the thrill of realism. You can enlist and go to fucking Afghanistan ya know. BF has always sucked and the latest was no exception. The way they're pumping up BF4 just makes me feel like it's going to be a turd. OMG THE BUILDINGS FALL APART! Who the fuck cares. Look at the sales numbers, end of discussion. COD destroys BF in sales. It's like the PC/Mac discussion. Sure Apple had some clever marketing for awhile that lead you to believe they made a superior product, but they never did mention that they have a relatively tiny share of the market, did they?

BF3 online is...how do I say this the most honest way possible....pathetic.

The campaign is pretty good, even if it bugs out every once in awhile and you have to restart missions (on PC anyways). The campaign gameplay isn't bad. Online gameplay is stupid. Sometimes you can literally play for hours and almost never see anyone. YAY REALISM! That's fun, right?!

    lol

Battlefield includes strategy, and you can't just run around shooting everything (and then dying). In COD, you just choose a loadout, shoot something, die, repeat. In Battlefield, there is a level of strategy required for players to become better at this game. Brains vs. Brawn. Battlefield vs. Call of Duty

Has COD even changed since the first MW?

Strategy is exactly why it sucks. Working together with complete strangers over a fucking headset in a virtual world is asinine. The point of the games, correct me if I'm wrong (I'm not), for 90% of the people who want to play them is to shoot people. COD provides that at such a better level it's pretty much not even a competition. What strategy is there when you have 2 dudes flying aimlessly around in jets, maybe one guy in a jeep driving in circles, 2 guys in tanks killing each other and then everyone else is camped out doing nothing. Great strategy. COD is a much more intense and fun game all around. Which is why it sells more, every time...and always will. Like I said, anyone I've ever known that liked Battlefield more than COD only did because if you watched them play COD they sucked at it.

That is like having a racing game that gives you fastest car from the start, while everyone else's car is slow, just so you can win. Because that's why you play right?

I think you nailed it though. COD is for those that want an easy arcade game. BF is for people who enjoy strategy...and good graphics.

False. I was good at COD, and I enjoyed it. I just like BF better. So what?
  • Rotinaj
Plenty of strategy exists in most of the COD game modes. I don't get where all this talk about just running around killing and dying without thinking comes from. That's when you're playing with/against bads. Play with some people who know how to play the game and its a different story.
  • Me?
They like BF because they can stay alive for longer than 5 seconds at a time. And then they tell you it's because of the strategy. But 99% of people who enjoy COD and are good at it, would absolutely despise BF.

I would say I'm a far better COD player than a BF player, but I strongly prefer BF.

I'll play COD when it's 11:30pm and I'm just getting in a quick game or two before bed...I'll play BF any other time because (in my opinion) the multiplayer is so much better.

One night I could be a medic and just follow people and drop health kits and focus on objectives, then the next night I can be a heli pilot or gunner in capture the flag, or I can just be a run and gun assault person, or a sniper (an actual sniper who finds a good tactical spot, not a 'quickscoper' like COD).

Again, it's just a preference thing, and I'll probably end up with both.

And people who rip on BF and swear by COD are just fanboys that can't/won't admin that another game might be as good, or <gasp> better. If you like COD, fine. Play it and stfu.

I've never played BF but I like COD. I know it does degenerate sometimes into sniper battles but that's kind of the fun. I remember a particular map in COD Black OPs II that had 2 sniper houses right across from each other and the whole game was just a clusterfuck of people trying to gain position in the opposing houses and the rest of your team lobbing grenades into those houses.

LOL why don't you take your own advice, fanboy? The 1st amendment says fuck off. I guarantee, and I'm not bragging it's not something to be incredibly proud of, that I play more first person shooters than just about anyone on here. I'm not scared to admit something is better than something else...I don't get a paycheck from Activision. I've played every COD game. I've also played every BF game. It isn't even close. Hell, Counter Strike is a better game than any BF and it's more than a decade old probably.</gasp>

Personally, I love when people try to snipe on COD. I do better in those matches. Snipers are typically the easiest kills in the game.

You just lost all credibility with that comment. You must not be able to sit down with all the butthurt you have going on about how someone could possibly like BF better. You suck at trolling.

Oh did I? Here's another one: Tribes Ascend is a better FPS than any Battlefield.

And Counter-Strike is one of the most successful shooter games of all time, despite the fact that it was almost strictly a PC game. That speaks for itself.

Battlefield might be a great strategy game, but it's a terrible FPS.

I have already said I played both and like both, but prefer BF. You seem to be pissed that someone like another game better. You do sound like a typical internet COD fanboy.

You are bordler line idiot with the shit you are posting now. LOL

I'm not pissed at anyone. Why do you think I'm mad? Because I might have typed out fuck once or twice? How does psychoanalyzing someone's mood via their written word usually work out for you?

I don't care if anyone likes a game better. But can I not inject my opinion here...in a thread about Call of Duty, which you and others came into slamming COD with your Battlefield fanboy nonsense? Remember when that happened? You can just refer back to the 1st page if not. I don't give a shit what game you like better. But I won't let anyone say that Battlefield is a better FPS than COD without speaking up. That's just a disservice to anyone who may want some opinion on what to buy. It's not even close. If you want the superior FPS then it's COD, period. That's not me spreading my opinion, that's just the fact of the matter. Like I said, Battlefield may be a good strategy game, but it's a terrible FPS.
