EnforcerWOW!! What an ending to the season, What does everyone think??
-
pmoney25Im glad to see Rick going back to being a boss.

YtowngirlinflaThought it was too short. Felt like a lot of commercials. Other than that it was good. Not a great season finale but it will do.
-
Glory Days
That and flashbacks. half of each episode was just wasted this part of the season. They stretched out what, maybe a week of actually "time" after the prison fell because they kept skipping between groups of people. This part of the season was very disappointing overall.Ytowngirlinfla;1598955 wrote:Thought it was too short. Felt like a lot of commercials. Other than that it was good. TedShecklerIt was pretty meh.
-
SnotBubblesI think I nailed it with the cannibals.
Yes, the second half of season 4 was pretty "meh," but I think it set's itself up for a redeeming and intense season 5. I'm not saying it will be, but the potential is there and I think the writers season viewers dropping off and know that it needs to be.
I was kind of hoping that Glenn/Maggie's group had gotten killed. It's time some major characters to get killed off and that seemed like the most likely group....but they live another season. -
AutomatikRick with the kill of the season!!!
-
redstreak oneI liked this season and the finale. Am I wrong that the only group we didnt see was Tyreese and Carrol and the baby? Could that be Ricks plan leaving the guns buried for those 2 to come to their rescue?
-
SnotBubbles
How would they know where they are? I'm guessing the group shows up and help springs them free...they get to the guns and then an all out war happens. I'm also guessing that is premise takes up the entire next season, with the war being the finale. Because that's how TWD rolls.redstreak one;1599014 wrote:I liked this season and the finale. redstreak oneThere was a lot of time not shown between Ricks group getting to Terminus that I am just assuming since Tyreese and Carrol werent shown that they would be instrumental in helping them take down the Termites at the end. Plus I am inferring that Rick has a plan since he said they, meaning the Termintes dont know who they are messing with, while being locked in a rail car! lol I guess, just some speculation on my part.

Glory Days
yeah I don't think he has a true plan. he is just pissed that's all.redstreak one;1599132 wrote:There was a lot of time not shown between Ricks group getting to Terminus that I am just assuming since Tyreese and Carrol werent shown that they would be instrumental in helping them take down the Termites at the end. Actually, cannibals is probably the one thing it isn't. Besides not making sense (they had their guns - just take them outside and shoot them on the spot), they tried a little too hard to make us think that. Why shoot at their feet with the worst aim in the history of television and movies?SnotBubbles;1598976 wrote:I think I nailed it with the cannibals.
Well, I won't rule out that they eat the people who don't want to join...but Rick and his crew aren't on the menu just yet. -

I was actually thinking that...that it was kind of stupid to go in with everyone if you had reason to be that suspicious. But it would be a really cheap "gotcha!" trick from the writers to do that when we never saw Rick/Darryl/Michonne/Carl with anyone elseredstreak one;1599132 wrote:There was a lot of time not shown between Ricks group getting to Terminus that I am just assuming since Tyreese and Carrol werent shown that they would be instrumental in helping them take down the Termites at the end. My guess is it's some wacky religious cult. Season 5 or whatever will breakdown something like this:SnotBubbles;1599053 wrote:How would they know where they are? 1) Rick whining, crying and blaming himself. 15%
2) They decide they just have to play along, and some of them start liking it. 5%
3) Some people want to stay, others are freaked out. Much bickering and whining ensues. 75%
4) In the finale, Darryl hops the fence and digs up the guns...cliffhanger 5% -
Glory Days
(assuming its cannibalism)They didn't want to kill them yet. if they kill them now, the meat goes bad. if they trap them, which they did by shooting around them to force them to the path they wanted, they can keep their meat fresh longer.gut;1600243 wrote:Actually, cannibals is probably the one thing it isn't. Problem with that theory is if you're that desperate for food, then you presumably don't have food to feed your victims. They aren't cattle - can't eat grass. And if they have power, then they have electricity for refrigeration to keep the meat.Glory Days;1600254 wrote:...if they kill them now, the meat goes bad. if they trap them....
This is the same show that showed us a bloody babyseat in one finale (and made a huge deal of it), but of course the baby wasn't dead. And here they gave us the whole "they're shooting at our feet - look! - there's bones they must be cannibals!!!" Why give them their weapons back?
So unless they're playing the game where "aha! it was obvious but it wasn't....and now it's obvious and it is"...then they aren't cannibals. -
Scarlet_BuckeyeSo far, out of all the hypotheses, I'm thinking "cannibals" is the most likely winner.
No question the beginning of Season 4 was very boring, but there were a couple great episodes (the war at the Prison, the little girl killing the other little girl, the last episode of the season) that really boosted the integrity of the series.
Can't wait for Season 5. -

It appears almost everyone is convinced of that, so it seems like a pretty risky move for the writers. If it isn't cannibals, a lot of viewers might feel betrayed in a "gotchya!" type move (which I fully expect). And if it is, then it's not really a cliffhanger and they'll have to raise the bar since they were so obvious.Scarlet_Buckeye;1601205 wrote:So far, out of all the hypotheses, I'm thinking "cannibals" is the most likely winner..
The creator said there are lots of clues in that episode and claimed you should watch multiple times to spot it all. Well, if it's cannibals I don't know what was so subtle that it would require multiple viewings.
I'm not sure what Terminus is, but whatever it is I think Rick and his group were being tested from the start with the whole "lower/give-up your weapons". Then they give the weapons back, but in fact they have snipers hidden and waiting (another test). People in different box cars could be at various stages of testing (herded to a specific railcar, one with Maggie and the others who presumably arrived just a few days earlier). And if you fail out, THEN maybe you get eaten or kicked out of camp.
Think about it. Why did they have to go to that specific railcar? If you're just keeping them like cattle, why would it matter? Why even give them their guns back and risk them shooting somoeone?
