The Walking Dead season 4

  • TedSheckler
    This season is lame.

Spoiler alert for each new episode...

The camp worries about the fence and new infection. Rick is dirty, sweating and thinking really hard about stuff. Carl is conflicted. Strange people we've never seen before will be eaten/die from infection. Long conversations about running out of food and supplies and the need to make runs. Sorry for ruining it for everyone.

Unfortunately, that's a given. She'll probably show-up in a few days with that other kid and Rick's watch.

Although she's far less annoying than she used to be. Rick is actually the one who has kind of become irritating.

I agree, Rick's inter conflict is getting really annoying. Also I'm wondering when they are going to bring the governor back?

I think the working theory is that hoard of walkers near the hospital are somehow being "led" by the Governor.

To me the big problem with the show is they don't do the human interest/drama all that well (although the Rick/Carol thing this last episode was excellent). And the zombies are now basically a nuisance, and it's just redundant at this point to continually put them in situations where numbers overwhelm them.

I'm hoping there's something to that "voice" they heard on the radio and we move on from the prison soon, and with a purpose/mission.

And shouldn't most of the zombies have starved by this point? They aren't going to be able to hunt or catch many animals, and there aren't many people left. I'd expect their food source to be too limited to sustain any concentration of hundreds, much less thousands, of zombies.

Right. Because non-living things that can survive without half of their body and take infinite bullets to the chest and keep coming must eat food to survive.

    Dumb.

They need to eat, and we've seen plenty of emaciated walkers that would indicate their own body breaks down for a source of energy lacking food. It's not dumb as it has been depicted in the series - at best they become dormant but they pretty clearly need some sort of energy source to be mobile/active.

the doctor at the cdc said they starve, just at a slower rate than humans.

Didn't remember the doctor saying that. I know we've seen them skinnier. But we've also seen them alive, dragging themselves along the ground with their bottom half missing and their guts hanging out of them.

A "foreign" biological function doesn't mean the laws of physics/mechanical energy are violated. All you've really pointed out is the only functioning organ they need is a brain, not that they still don't need food as an energy source.

If they don't leave the prison soon, I'm done with this show. This season has been one giant turd unfortunately.

I agree. Nothing is happening, there are millions of zombies and they're worried about a flu/death sickness?

To this point, of course there is a lot of season left, I think they blew their load on the situation with the governor last season. He's going to come back, and that'll probably make the show good again. But they're taking their sweet old time setting it up.

I agree with this season sucking so far. Problem is they know most viewers are too vested in the series now to just turn away.
  • Ytowngirlinfla
The Governor needs to come back. There is obviously another group out there so they really need to integrate them into the story.

I'm hearing some good plot twists are coming up, but so far this season is going down the shitter.

    But of course...I'll still watch.

Last night's epsisode was alright. Powerful scene when Herschel was alone in the cell.

    I'm curious...
In medical terms, what exactly is happening when the sick people are coughing like hell and then can't breathe?
  • hasbeen
I thought it was better than alright. It was solid, entertainment.
  • gut
I thought it was actually pretty good, aside from the now annoying manner in which someone shows up at the last possible second to save a major character EVERY time.

I like that one crazy creepy little girl - Carl is simply irritating, but she has real super psycho potential.
  • vdubb96
Last night was much better. I love Herschels character, very powerful stuff. If the Gov. is alone i'm curious how this is gonna go. Also can't wait to see how Daryl and Tyrese react to Carol getting the boot.

I couldn't believe Maggie seemed to approve. She's not on the council, but IMO that was not a decision for Rick to make unilaterally (which I'm sure Daryl will take issue with).

Some say Rick did it to protect Carol from Tyrese, but I doubt Tyrese would attack a woman. Those people already had a death sentence - Rick's punishment didn't really fit the crime. You can debate the morality of her actions, but not the logic.
  • vdubb96
I don't think Tyrese will have as big an issue with the situation and Daryl will. I agree Rick should have brought her back and let the group decide some way on what should happen with her. I also don't think we've seen the last of her either. Maybe some how the Gov ends up finding her?
