I don't drink either pop nor soda. Unless I need to chase a shot. Because there are exceptions to every rule.1_beast;1514254 wrote:I thought people in Ohio drank pop... -
4cards...I've had (2) VW Jetta's with the first being a TDI and when I traded it in (worn out) it had 287,000 miles on it. I was getting aprox 50+ mpg (5) speed at the time & the engine was fine but having to put a complete exhaust system + brakes it was better to just let it go.
Had the price on the new ones not been as high as they were at the time & diesel selling for 4.00 to 5.00 per gal, I would have bought another but instead got a Jetta (SEL) still a 5 speed that gets about 30 mpg. -
justincredible
What can I get used for $10k or less? Preferably 2005 or newer, but not a requirement.oberhaus;1514479 wrote:Subaru. All the main stream models get over 30mpg and they are AWD.........you can get it from me too. -

I have 2 2004's. An 04 WRX and an 04 Outback under 10K. Problem with Subarus is that they hold their value extremely well...makes the used cars a little more expensive.justincredible;1514507 wrote:What can I get used for $10k or less? Preferably 2005 or newer, but not a requirement. -

oberhausWhy wait? Fewer miles on your car, the better trade value. What do you drive?

AutomatikI loveeee WRXs. If I were to be in a position where a vehicle was needed, I'd definitely give them a look. They are fun as hell to drive, especially in the snow.

You are correct. I have a Subaru to drive so I don't own a Subaru...but when I do buy one it will be a WRXAutomatik;1514826 wrote:I loveeee WRXs. If I were to be in a position where a vehicle was needed, I'd definitely give them a look. They are fun as hell to drive, especially in the snow. -

They say 21/27, but ive read people claiming 600 miles on a tank on road trips on an 18 gallon tank -
justincredibleNot bad.

Why waste the money on a TDI for that mileage? Is that on an AWD Toureg? You can get a Forester (AWD standard) and get 32 MPG highway. And its cheaper by a lot.LJ;1514885 wrote:They say 21/27, but ive read people claiming 600 miles on a tank on road trips on an 18 gallon tank -

LOL...thats funny. We have had a couple women come in with husbands and say to us quietly "arent Subarus for lesbians?" Its hilarious.LJ;1514950 wrote:Because my wife isn't a lesbian
Subaru has come a long way and is gaining steam nation wide. We are the only manufacturer with record sales growth the past 5 years straight AND weve had sales increase each month for 23 straight months.
The 2014 Forester is so popular that there is only a 6 day supply nation wide. Most car dealers have a 30-60 day supply of each line. We actually went 2 weeks at our dealership without a Forester to sell. We just got in 2 truck loads (20) of Foresters on Friday and are already down to 12 just 2.5 business days later. Its crazy...plus the Forester is getting rave reviews by all the publications. -

I've personally sold 2 Foresters to people who were considering Touregs...and one that traded in a Toureg.Commander of Awesome;1514949 wrote:The VM Toureg was ripped to shreads by the top gear guys for what it's worth. Hilarious episode. -

That's a great sales pitch for you. You are trying to talk me from a luxary awd vehicle with 400 ft lb of torque and over 30 mpg, to a midrange vehicle with a 4cyl. Not even the same class bub. -

wait for it...
a Subaru!

Haha. I hear ya. Just so you know, the dealership I work for has 9 new car brands and I can/have sold every one. I am passionate about Subaru because I believe in the brand. They are just outstanding vehicles. I wouldn't put my family into Subarus if I didn't. It's easy to sell a product you are passionate about. That's why I love my job. Most Subaru buyers are first timers. It's great talking to them down the road and they tell me how much they love their Subaru.bases_loaded;1514962 wrote:If only there was a VW salesman on the forum.
