By them not providing a channel I was promised when I signed their 2 year contract, will this enable me to get out of it?

They'll just say its nothing they did, take it up with Raycom

    Yes.

It's DISH's fault just as much, IMO.

Call them. I bet they'll throw some free HBO or Showtime your way to keep you.

I did it with Directv a few years ago when they dropped Versus and I wouldn't be able to watch hockey. I threatened to leave for Dish and they hooked me up with free Center Ice package.

Do this and then buy rabbit ears and get the best of both worlds

I got 10 bucks off a month for 6 months and the regional sports package. It was more of a fight than usual though

Threatening to leave and go to a rival company(cable too) works pretty much every time. Had a friend who would call Time Warner all the time and say he would switch to a satellite. Had basically every premium cable channel for free.

Since you are in a fantasy football league with your regional service provider's president, just offer him Megatron and I'm sure he will hook you up.

No. They put in their terms and conditions that they are allowed to adjust channel offerings at their discretion. But the people who said they'll throw in HBO or give you a slight discount are right...they will do that.

That only works when you're out of contract. If you're in contract with Dish or DirecTV, they don't give a shit if you threaten to cancel because they get your cancellation fee anyways.

When I was with my cable company, this same thing happened with the B1G network. I called, told them I was CONTRACTED to have the network, and demanded out of it, bc they weren't fulfilling contract. They let me out of my contract.

What cable company has a contract?

When DirecTV had their dispute with Viacom, they told me that it's in the terms&conditions and that if I wanted to leave I would have to pay the termination fee.

They're overnighting me a USB OTA antenna to pick up CBS and dropping $10 off for 6 months

As of Midnight tonight, I have regained CBS via Dish. Not sure if that indicates Dish and Raycom have finally come to terms of an agreement or what, but I am certainly glad that it appears I will be able to watch the PGA championship this weekend.

Let's see...CBS is pulling this Shit with Dish and Time Warner Cable? Who is the assholle in this? I could give a crap about watching CBS, as I never watch them.

They do this a lot before FB season.

My point is CBS being the A Holes. Let's want 600% increase to carry our signal, then everyone can bitch when Cable/Dish rates go up.

I say if CBS wants that much money then let the people who want CBS pay the extra money for it. I for one would drop them. So freaking tired of Network TV, as their programming sucks.

    Agreement reached

CBS has all the Browns games, HIMYM, and match madness. They are just as good as ABC or NBC. Only FOX is shitty as far as the big 4 channels go.
