They are still assholes for their Strong Arm tactics. Don't bitch when anyone's rates go up...not your provider's fault. -
ts1227It's not CBS proper, it's the conglomerates that own the affiliates. In this case, Raycom Media.

Had not heard. ALl weekend all I heard was people bitching about it. Don't have dish, and probably haven't watched CBS since, well, whenever the last big sports event they may have hosted.....NFL playoffs maybe?TedSheckler;1485869 wrote:Hey, if you haven't heard...it was solved. -

March Madness, or the Masters and PGA Championship if you like golf. But I'm guessing the wife doesn't allow it.thavoice;1485871 wrote:Had not heard. I should try this with DirecTV since they don't have Fix Sports 1 yet. Maybe I will get free NFL Sunday Ticket.TedSheckler;1484697 wrote:Call them. I bet they'll throw some free HBO or Showtime your way to keep you.
I did it with Directv a few years ago when they dropped Versus and I wouldn't be able to watch hockey. I threatened to leave for Dish and they hooked me up with free Center Ice package. -

Im pretty sure Fox Sports 1 will take the place of the current Fox Sports Soccer channel when it launches...thats the case on Dish anywayjmog;1486528 wrote:I should try this with DirecTV since they don't have Fix Sports 1 yet. Maybe I will get free NFL Sunday Ticket.
I stand corrected..http://www.deadline.com/2013/08/fox-sports-1-still-waiting-deals-directv-dish-etwork-and-time-warner-cable/ -

You're not getting anything until FS1 reaches a deal with a large provider. Directv will just tell you to GFY. FS1 is destined to fail if they can't reach a deal with at least 2 of these providers.jmog;1486528 wrote:I should try this with DirecTV since they don't have Fix Sports 1 yet. It's worth a shot if you don't mind waiting on hold for a long time only to be told they aren't going to do anything for you.jmog;1486528 wrote:I should try this with DirecTV since they don't have Fix Sports 1 yet. Maybe I will get free NFL Sunday Ticket.
It's not like you're losing a channel you had before if DirecTV doesn't pick it up (an instance where they might be willing to throw something your way). You're just not getting a newly created channel.
