If you could change what year you were born...

Finally, another person mentions sports as a reason. I agree, but as a basketball fan, wish that I could have been the age I am now (26) during the '80s and '90s. It seems like all the legendary NBA and college games happened during that frame of time. Watching Jordan vs. Bird and Jordan vs. Isiah and Jordan vs. Magic would have been a true delight.

Depends on how old the friend is. Younger than 18... then yes. :)

Finding out information from the world in the fucking newspaper would be awful, not being able to see every game on TV like you can today would suck, and cars now are so much nicer than older cars(heated seats, heated steering wheel, etc.). There is no way I could trade all of that in.
    This!

But like Laley I've always loved the Revolutionary and Civil Wars would be cool to be back in those times.

My "little" sister is going to be a freshman in college in the fall, so I'm not sure how weird it actually is. Although my cut-off for dating not to be creepy at 26 would be somebody of drinking age.

Plus it's not as much fun if they can't go out and drink with you... the only good thing is at least you will always have a DD. But yeah I agree with you if I was single I wouldn't want to date someone who wasn't 21 or older. Also since she has graduated HS it's not creepy.

Haha, yeah, I'm not sure how I would feel about telling my "date" who was under 21 that "I'm getting drunk tonight, so you're my driver." Lol. That'd be quite odd.

My friend's uncle, who's in his 40s, dates girls that are 18 or 19 all the time, which is obviously legal but totally bizarre. Can you imagine meeting the parents?

Does he date them or just "date" them? If it's the latter, kudos to that man. But yeah, meeting the parents would be weird as shit. Chances are he'd be older than a lot of them.

My neighbor went to prom with his ex wife when he was 38. LOFL

He just "dates" them. Lol. I think most of them are probably on some variety of cocaine, however, so I'm not sure how many kudos he actually deserves. There have been a few I've seen that were pretty good looking, though. None of the "relationships" have ever panned out, though. Go figure. Haha.

Well back reality. I was born in 1968. I'd like to be born later in life. In the days of computers, smart phones so I could see where it goes. As an old fart I love my smart phone and don't miss the days of Pagers and trying to find a Pay Phone to call them back...which many of you don't even know what neither of those are and it was just around 20 years ago.

    Only drug dealers used pagers.

Count me as one to be born around 46-47, that way I am of age during the 60s.
    Music, cars, history, crazy times.
I'm a history guy, and did my undergrad history focus on the Cold War, so would love to go back and relive the era.
Just reading of being involved with the strategic thinkers at the time would be pretty cool.

Other than that period, probably be the of age in the roaring 20s.

    Wednesday
Wednesday would be a good day.....with the Artificial Intelligence singularity estimated to be about 2045, that would make me a 20-something just about that time.

    One part.
I'd take the music, cars, and just the complete social change going on.
God, just the music would be amazing. Just being able to see Hendrix, Albert King, Freddie King, Cream, Joplin, Zeppelin, CCR,Who, etc all live who be freaking awesome.
Also, being able to go out and get a Mustang for nothing, or a 69 Charger (my favorite car of all time) off the lot.

And, on the nerdy side, I am a fan of nuclear deterrence theory, and the 60s was the hay day for it.
