To each his own, I guess.

I would want something that is legal and pure. If I have to pay $10 vs $8, I'll pay the $10.

If you have to worry about the purity you're buying from the wrong people.

I will say that one advantage that legal dispensaries would have over some guy off the street would be the variety that they would carry. I'm sure there would be people that would want to go to the legal place just so they can try something different from the same old weed they buy every time.

I hope it's legalized, because I'm really looking forward to a "Weed Snob" thread on here.

Maybe this has already been discussed, but I'd be interested to see how it'd affect job hiring. The hospital partners I work for announced last Fall that they will now not hire anyone who smokes cigarettes. Granted that cigarettes have a lot more negative cardiovascular effects than marijuana.

I think in WA employers can still fire/not hire those that fail a drug test. I have zero problem with a private company determining their own requirements for employment.

Nabiximols works the same way as marijuana. It stimulates cannabinoid receptors CB1 and CB2 in the central nervous system and dorsal root ganglia as well as other site of the body. Peripheral CB2 receptors modulate immune function through cytokine release. Your initial post wasn't about getting a patient high, it was about whether or not it could reduce seizures. Stimulating these receptors does reduce seizures. You asked for a scientific study that proves this. I gave you one. This is a randomized, peer-reviewed, double-blind, controlled study. It's as high a level of evidence as you can get in medical literature. If you read it, instead of whatever else you've been reading, you'll see that is doesn't work only 50% of the time. There is a 98.8% reduction is spasm frequency when these receptors are stimulated, with a p-value of 0.005. This means that 99.5% of the time you will see this reduction in spasm frequency. The patient and the patient's caregivers should have the option to utilize this therapy if they so choose. Getting high is a potential side effect of more than just smoking weed.

    Boom.

And seriously, if a terminally ill patient claims it helps improve their quality of life, who the fuck is anyone to tell them "nah, bro"?

This site wouldnt be so minor league if JIC cared 1/4th as much about it as he does about smoking pot legally.

    Good. Should be legal anyways.

:laugh:I remember in high school we had to do this huge presentation on a controversial topic. Like 10 kids choose why marijuana should be legalized, the english teacher told the guidance counselor, and school police officer who they were, and each of them got tested and cars searched and busted.

I lol'd so hard at those stupid fucks, but seriously the fact I can drink beer and not smoke weed is insane. Someone high is barely out of it, and usually more fun when they are while alcoholics are usually total dicks and dangerous behind the wheel. You don't feel like you are spinning in circles on weed

It would fall like a rock if it were legalized, and would very much likely be cheaper anyway even if they taxed the shit out of it.
i dont see how it wouldnt go up. you have to remember, big pharma is gonna get its hands on the deal. what about companies copyrighting the different combinations and blends etc? that would drive prices up.

Good luck with that. Theirs so many different strains available right now, no way every possible plant could be "copyrighted" and against general public to grow and have.
Plus theirs all the hybrid crosses of different strains.

Only reason prices will go up is because nobody will want commercial brick weed anymore which is the cheapest.

If this is the case the black market will remain alive and well.
