You guys are insufferable. Do you have to bring politics into EVERYTHING? I can't imagine how terrible you guys are in real life.

Just enjoy it! When you hit the sportsbook, I recommend kicking back and smashing as many White Russians as possible.

Congrats, I'm heading to Vegas next month I can only hope to have that kind of luck.

Did you tell your wife? I made the mistake of hitting big on a riverboat outside of the Quad Cities (Illinois), and calling my wife and telling her.

When I had to use my credit card to pay for gas & food on the return trip home....she wasn't very happy.

And that did go to strippers, it was a bachelor party. It's amazing what they'll do to a groom (my cousin) for a $100 bill. lol

I won $90 on the roulette tables 2 weeks ago. Hope this helps!

I have family in the Quad Cities, been to that riverboat many a time.

Curiously, what brought you to the QC?

Those penny slots will trick a lot of people. Everyone usually wants to hit "bet maximum" until they realize those "penny" slots cost anywhere from $1.80 to upwards of $10 per spin. I usually play the $1, $2 & $10/spin machines. Congrats on your win!

Huge mistake crowing about it early in the trip...Vegas has ways of making Beginners Luck a painful memory.

Did you fill out a claim/tax ticket when you hit the jackpot? I thought on slot wins over $1k you had to.

If that's the case, make sure you withdraw like $500 from the ATM the last two days of your trip.

I'm originally from a town about 25 miles East of there (Geneseo). All of my family still lives back there, including my parents.

    This.

Seriously, save most of it, but treat yourself to room service, a badass bottle of something (I'd do Scotch), and just enjoy.

Why in the world would you do room service? You're in Vegas, there are world-class restaurants you can drop a grand on. But there are so many cool restaurants in the same range as room service that I wouldn't dream of passing on the atmosphere they offer.

Id do room service for some breakfast food at like 4am.

We did it for my best friends bachelor party and it was awesome. But if we actually had money to buy a bunch of shit, it would have been better.

I wouldnt do it for lunch or dinner, though. Way to many nice restaurants and steakhouses and shit in Vegas.

I'm not talking room service for a normal meal. I'm talking any one-off thing you want in your room, you get. Need a hangover stopper at 6am? Call room service and have them bring it up. Suddenly feel like champagne, because fuck InBev? Get a bottle of Moet sent to your room.
  • vdubb96
Yeah O-Trap stick it to InBev!!!!

What does that pay, 35-to-1? Nice $17k payoff.
