I can't go in there -- for obvious reasons -- so thanks for keeping me abreast.

    Definitely a chilling post, then.

Correct. Fiancee has a degree in Eastern European/Russian studies and spent a year in St. Petersburg, and she said as much this morning. Chechen bombings often involve women who have lost husbands/children in conflict, bombing other children.

And you're assuming that we know everything there is ever to know about human behavior? Really? Sorry, but behavioral analysis is a field, much like ANY academic discipline, where more information is better.

The first one is a fake. The one where he said he's going to kill the cops.

If that twitter account is real, he says if you like conspiracy theories check this out and puts an link to a site about how Newtown is somehow mentioned in the Dark Knight Rises and how its a conspiracy with the aurora shooting.

He also links to a picture showing how strange it is that certain types of cheeses are illegal in America yet assault rifles are legal.

He also apparently has a rocket. We might be dealing with somebody who thinks he's in a James Bond movie.

Psychology/sociology isn't an exact science like math. You can collect all of the data you want, but you can only use that data to make generalizations about people. You can't say with certainty why they did something.

There's always going to be outliers/deviation from the norm, but THESE ARE RANDOM OCCURANCES THAT CANNOT BE PREDICTED.

I realize it's not exact... which is why the more information, the better.

Really? Terrorist acts cannot be predicted? Better tell the Federal Gov't that as I'm sure a lot of money is spent on this apparently worthless endeavor...

I have been trying to follow along all morning and even though we are super slow this morning, my fucking boss is still giving me a hard time about listening to the news. He is the worst.

Oh and even though there isn't much going on, I have managed to do about five things while listening/reading all while he spent literally 40 minutes writing one email.

I get a good laugh when I am on Twitter and have 9 alerts on the matter, then a sports tweet, then 11 more on this. Like, who is seriously tweeting sports news while this is going on. Aint nobody got time for that shit right now!!!

Mentioned before, but my company's main office in Waltham is shut down. Just had a call with a client and a bunch of folks from out there (all working from home) and they all say it's really, really crazy. Helicopters, sirens, just a surreal scene.

My sources are telling me that this guy was not in his safe room when the police entered and is instead on a highway on his way to Connecticut.

    Crazy.

I work at Samsung and we send a bunch of stuff for Home Depot in that region. They canceled all their orders for today. The guy called in and said his house was near all of it and luckily they got evacuated out. This is crazy
