No, it doesn't. Terrorist acts are RANDOM. there's are hundreds of thousands of terrorists out there and the FBI/CIA/whoever is probably well-educated about them, but it's really like playing whack a mole.

think maybe they killed the feed, people on twitter saying it went down for them as well

The man is barricaded inside a safe house like Jodie Foster in Panic Room and has who knows how many fully-automatic weapons and a fucking rocket. My guess is he knows this is the end so he is online telling the world how "great" he is through Twitter and going out in a blaze of glory.

I think the account is probably real.

If this is a fake account, this guy is in big trouble.
    Of course it's fake.

Could be, but who in their right mind would ever conceive of getting involved in a terrorist bomber investigation and, while at it, threaten to kill police?

I'm sure if I was on the run from 9000 law enforcement agents, I would stop, find a laptop, go run around for a Wifi signal, create a Twitter account, and post that. It's probably some kid in Nebraska trolling the cops.

It's only random as long as we continue to think that.

It's only random if we want to be willfully ignorant.

The more information experts learn about their history and psychological make up, the more we know about what kind of situations give rise to this kind of behavior, what kind of people to be on the look out for, what are indicators to tip off someone may be heading down this kind of path.

Human behavior is not just random and not completely "freewill." Our behavior is predicated on the situations we have gone through during our lives and any psychological predispositions we have. Yes, we are not completely predictable. But there is information to be learned that can better help expert understanding for possible future use of prevention.

Anyone else worried this might start a war with Russia?

With the information we have? No.

If there are somehow ties back to the government... god help us.

I honestly feel this is more than just 2 nut jobs and a product of something bigger
  • tk421
Even the Russian government couldn't be that stupid, could they?

I completely disagree with most of what you said for various reasons, but I'm tired of typing on my phone

Ya, as I alluded to in my comment regarding the scanner being down. I think this is the silence before the storm (them going in).

Was there another shootout somewhere that I missed?

I still have a live feed, not much going on at the moment. Repositioning units.

Stop and find a laptop? He probably has four of them inside his cave alongside his rocket.

You're probably right, but it's not like it would be that hard for him to Tweet his actions when barricaded alone inside a safe zone surrounded by explosives. What else is he going to do in there?

Can that kid in Nebraska get into trouble? I would say seriously so. You'd have to be criminally insane to pose a terrorist on Twitter in today's world and direct death threats at police.

CNN finally wised up and stopped showing the police locations.

They had to be told by the police to stop.

You can disagree all you want. But what I wrote isn't just shit I'm pulling out of my ass. It's legitimate. Behavioral analysis is a real thing.

No, sounds like they are from Chechnya, which wanted to break away from Russia. So, if anything, the Russians and U.S. are on the same side.

Interesting thing is is the conflict has been silent for years.
